Help me to understand. Why did you have to break the law to come to the USA?
1) What country did you originate from?
2) What were you escaping from that you could not come to the USA legally?
3) Do you have family with you? Wife, Husband, Children, Parents, etc?
4) Do you work and if so what type of job do you have?
5) Does your employer give you any benefits?
6) How did your employer make if possible for you to work in the USA? Did they provide any documents for you to cover up that you were not here on a Visa and to be able to take taxes from your paycheck?
Maybe if you can tell the USA about yourself, we can have a better understanding of your needs. Thank you for taking a few moments to tell the USA about yourself.

Look I get the whole my country sux and I have no opportunity... I WILL SAY IT AGAIN...My parents came from Italy with nothing, but the came legally...the key word being "LEGALLY"..I don't understand these discussions...its SOOOO BLACK and WHITE..I feel for all of them..I really do...but, It is UNFAIR that AMERICAN citizens have to foot the bill for 20 million plus people, when they are struggling to put food on their own tables PERIOD..

I came to USA when I was a teenager, because my dad past away and my family didn't have money to support me, I went to school and now I'm an immigrant person who is happy to be here, I work hard my job is very respectful, I'm legal working and my family came to this country because the great opportunities, and the better safe place to live, some of us are legal but there is few that are trying to get their green card, my family is proud of this country and I'm too. I' m from Guatemala and I considered myself immigrant even thought I got the American traditions. I don't think anyone in this country is not an immigrant, all we are ! no matter if you born here but you father, mother, grandparents or anyone in your family must be from Asia, Europe, etc.

well I'm not an immigrant but I live and work in miami with a HUGE immigrant population,and the biggest answer I can think off it is REALLY sux where they come from
Immigrants come now to the US for the same reason your family most likely came to the US to seek a better life. The are breaking an unjust law one based on discriminatory racial quotas and political affiliations. The best way to reduce the number of economic immigrants is to improve conditions in their country which for the US implies improving the economies of Latin America.
Pretty Latina: I was born and raised in America. I was not born in Asia, Europe, etc. Therefore I am an American period. Not immigrant.
To receive a US job permit, they have to show a contract from a company, who demostrate, that they can find a US person, who can do the job and pay all the fees (just high qualified professionals get it), or request the people to the Mexican Agriculture Ministery, so they have a cheaper burocratic work (only farmers can apply).
Well, i think you have to separate the different kinds of illegal immigrants:
A.There are some, who have a bad economic situation and felt hopeless, and they heard in USA, one can have a better life, if you work hard.
B.There are others, who heard, they can profit from the Wellfare, they come and register their info, and go back home, they are not really in USA, they just get the money.
C. There are others, who are delincuents and have contacts to make their "jobs" in USA.
D. There are others, who were brought as children, and grew up in USA, they love the country and don´t know any other home. And they work hard to be somebody productive.
E. There are young professionals without English knowledge, who just want to job some months/years in USA, and someday come back to their country.
I am Mexican and live legally in Switzerland, but my brother works in the Mexican consulte in USA. He and I support the kind of immigrant "A" and "D", and we dream they would receive someday all the benefits and security, which they own, because they work hard, and they don´t receive their benefits. All the others, are just parasites and they should be in prision.
Now, how can you know the difference? That´s exactly the problem...
