Why do our representatives for the immigration bill say that the American people want it passed?
We can all see how well that approach worked the last 2 times it was done. I creates more problems and more illegals. They obvisously don't care about what we have to say so we need to say it louder. We vote them in and we need to make them work for us not sit there. Americans need to ban together for once. We have become a society of all for one and who cares about the rest.

There was a lot of lying going on about the senate shamnesty bill, particularly from the liberal media, NY Times, CNN, LA Times, etc. There were polls that found Americans supported legalizing most illegal aliens, but those polls were bogus. They only gave people two choices; deport all the illegals, or give them amnesty. Other polls that gave a third choice, enforce our immigration laws and secure our border, showed that Americans were against giving amnesty to illegals.
SO both sides could say that they had the support of the American people, according to their polls. However, for most senators, the correspondence from their constituents was overwhelmingly against the senate bill, so many senators voted against cloture. They wanted to keep their jobs.
Try joining a yahoo group that deals with the immigration issue, such as protect our border now.
We the people killed the bill by phone calls, faxes and emails. So i would say we made some real progress. Washington is out of touch with the people.
They are saying that, to SELL the idea of it.luckily, most people dont believe them as the last poll showed. They figure if they say it enough, it will change peoples minds as it becomes more familiar to them..in my honest opinion, Politicians are just a step above child molesters...I refuse to be a mindless sheep.ALL Americans need to REALLY THINK about what these politicians are saying to us...I stand resolute.
I beleive that the results on the "amnesty" immigration bill show that the American public can still dictate to Washington and force an issue to be resolved in a sensible manner. I would like to see the same effort on election reform, border security, and revision of the tax code. Let us, as a people, dictate to Washington that we will not stand for "politics as usual"
The best thing about that pressure was the defeat of President Bush's position, but also the defeat of the democrat leadership in the Senate. It also pinpointed the bipartisan stupidity of the Senate. I like Tom Tancredo's pledge to defeat the compromisers on this issue from both sides of the aisle.
Our reps are not saying that. they are saying the the American people want something done about illegal immigration, which is true. They just haven't come up with the right plan yet.
Sweetie.you are not "AMERICA". You have a right to feel, think and believe in what you want, but that does not mean everyone else feels the same as you do. Yes, there are a lot of Americans out there that feel as you do, and then again there's A LOT more Americans that would disagree with you.
In response to your statement about how "we have become a society of all for one and who cares about the rest" ... I have to say it lacks intellectual acuity. AMERICA is a society of all, because it so diversed in it's population, that's what makes America so great and beautiful.
It states it in the Pledge of Alligence: "one nation under all".

Plus there is an agenda being pushed by our gov't to knock us down to a 3rd world country and to make us equally poor with the rest of the world in order to ease us into the NEW WORLD ORDER.

Regardless of what the polls say, and anyone who's researched the accuracy and truth of polls know the can be 100% wrong and still have "data" to reference, you need to make your own opinion heard and let them know whats up.
I would even wager that the only people who support acceptance of illegal immigration are illegal aliens, businesses who hire illegal aliens and the children of illegal aliens. Now that is a lot of people, and it shouldn't be, but in the US population its actually a very small percentage. They just have a lot of lobbyists right now.
By American people they mean criminal illegal mexican citizens in the U.S.
They are just as criminal as the illegals and unfortunately voting for someone else will do no good.
Gabbs if you are going to quote the pledge, at least get it right. Its one nation under God. As for our representatives, they vote their pocketbook, in this case whoever donates the most money.
Because they lie like Persian rugs? They don't have to pay into Social Security because they have a wonderful pension plan of their own. They are completely out of touch with the rest of the United States.

Once we remove the "magnet" of public assistance and illegal employment, they will leave all by themselves. No nasty deportations would be necessary.
We the people 200 million made our voices heard , The shamnesty bill was defeated.2 weeks ago .The cities & States are enforceing our laws it's on a roll.
