If I have a greencard but am not a citizen do I need a passport to travel inside the US?

I'm going to California for the summer, and I'm traveling by plane, but I have a greencard so do I still need a passport?

Answer:
Nope. Travelling within the US, you'll need photo ID to get through security, but not a passport. You should carry your green card with yout at all times though.
Nope. If you leave the country you will need one to get back.
A passport is NOT required for domestic travel. However, some government-issued photo ID is required to get past the security checkpoint at the airport.
The answer is no. If you have an INS151 ("Greencard") that is you perminant residency card. You are required, however by law, to keep this card with you at all times. Technically you will require a state issued identification, or your passport will do.
