All kinds of things happen that shouldn't happen. At least you should be glad to know that it has VERY serious consequences for someone who is not a citizen to say they are a citizen. Those illegals who did that will probably NEVER have a way to legalize. What does that mean? They will get deported.

the left would love a one-party system------if they get it it means the end of freedom forever.----an elite ruling class that dominates the masses. There would be no incentives to excel and prosper----any extra you earned would be redistributed for the better benefit of all (but really would go to the ruling class)
