Is that true puerto rico and cuba were part of Mexico ?

Because Mexico City was the capital of the Viceroyality of New Spain, so Mexico was an Empire like us.

Answer:
i've never heard of that. they were all under the rule of spain at one time though
no, i wouldn't go around saying that to much. cubans and P.R's do not like mexicans from mexico.
You are incorrect. They were not part of Mexico. They were at one time all ruled by Spain, but not all ruled by Mexico. This stuff is in history books...maybe you should read a couple.
Cuba was a Spanish possession for 388 years and in 1508, Spanish conquistador Juan Ponce de León became the island's first governor to take office and never under Mexican rule.
Who cares? They don't belong to Mexico anymore, if they ever did.
no they were not, spain once conquered all of those areas...but mexico revolted in the 1820's, cuba revolted in the late 1890's & puerto rico was given to the U.S. as a composation in the Spanish-American War
No, they were not part of Mexico. They belonged to the spanish empire until 1898. Cuba remained a protectorate of US until 1960 and PR became a possesion of the US that achieved self government in 1952
