Will I be considered for an ancestoral visa?

I was born in 1962 in Rhodesia (then a British colony). My adopted father's parents are British Citizens. Please let me know if I would qualify for an ancestoral visa

Answer:
If you can prove one of you parents or grandparent were born in the UK (original birth certificates only)you are already half way there. HOWEVER, you will also have to prove that you will be able to financially support yourself in the UK (they expect you to have about £2500 available), that you have somewhere to stay and that you will be working in the UK. All of these are looked at. You can then stay for 5 years before you can apply for citizenship and for those 5 years you have no access to public funds ie if you can't support yourself in the UK you will NOT be able to get any government benefits to help you. I would suggest you take a look at the British government web-sites as this is just the basic information
Too complex for this site. You'd get a definitive answer from the Passport Office.
you would be better off staying in rhodesia and help your country sort it's problems out.
Sahara's answer is correct. The fact of adoption should make no difference. The first site to look at is this:

You should approach the British embassy in Harare. It appears that from next month visa applications from Zimbabwe will be handled in South Africa. Ancestral visas seem to be available only to citizns of Commonwealth countries; unfortunately, Mugabe has withdrawn Zim from the Commonwealth, so you really need to check with the embassy how things stand.

Good luck.
Bcome a polish cit then just come to the uk and you will be able to work,, claim benefits get a house etc
LOL Colin that is so true!

Talk to the Home Office they will put you straight.
