Do you know that your ancestors came to America running away from the bad situation of Europe?
Answer:
Well, mine did anyway.
You are comparing 100/150 years ago to today?I think we'd have billions of people here if we took in "bad situation" people.FIX YOUR OWN COUNTRY!
Yep, my Great, great grandpa was running from something in Ireland we couldn't figure out, til he was hung for horse stealing.
We got it then.
No, they didn't. They immigrated here LEGALLY..in fact it was my great grandmother.
Furthermore, what difference does it make about something that happened HUNDREDS of years ago. History has NO barring on what is happening now.
My understanding is is my great great gram pah left Germany (in I Think 1880)because he didn't like the changes going on
hahah, nice!
your right. They came here [legally?..come on! there was no frontiers of police, just native americans] and should i add..they kill them all, or they made them live in little places, and now they complain cuz mexicans come and do...no the same, but something like how they migrated?!
funny...funny...funny thought :)
americans don't actually have that much right either if you really think about it!...go native americans !!..LOL
they didn't immigrate legally, they did the same thing that people are doing today, just the laws were different and it was easier to become legal. and never forget, no one leaves his country, and home, and family just to "live in the USA", they are just escaping from poverty and trying to make their children's life better.
Irrelevant. We're talking about the current Mexican invasion, not what happened hundreds of years ago.
Deport the invaders, every single last one of them.
Prosecute the people who give aid and comfort to the invaders, every last one of them.
As for educating people like you who have no sense of history, we'll have to put that on the back burner until the current crisis is over.

Yeah well we fought for this country too if you want to try go ahead. You might wanna pack a lunch
Did you know that every country has a right to set down their laws to paper (or parchment) and also have a right to enforce those laws, each and every country has that right. Why not the US? Why can't we expect to be allowed to actually have laws and shock and surprise expect them to be enforced?
Eventually you have to draw the line or the burden to the taxpaying citizens is too great and you have the situation that we are faced with now with the average citizen lashing out at illegal aliens.
Where would you draw the line? Curious
Actually I know all about my ancestors, thanks for asking. You apparently know nothing about my ancestors. Listen and learn... my ancestors came to America legally, filled out paperwork, waited in que, learned the language, learned US history and government and THEN were able to claim the lowest paying jobs that no one else would do. And they were PROUD to be AMERICANS and flew (and fly) the American flag proudly.
Yes, I am well aware of that. That is how this great country came to be.
Is this some sort of "great moments in American History" segment or do you have a point?
.
Like most Americans I am a hybrid. However, that being said, both sides of my family have American Indian great-grandparents. Does that give me more of a right to speak on this issue? I think not. Is the color of the skin important in this issue? No. It's the fact that we have a finite amount of land and resources to sustain life as we know it in this country. I feel for the plight of so many of these people, however, their rights do not supersede the rights of my children, and the rest of America. As a country we give and give to others in this world. Where do we draw the line? For those in America who defend the rights of those in this mass migration, will you say something when it's you and your's time to do without because a migrant "needed" something that should have been yours? I am not a heartless racist, I am, however, a realist. If you have an acre of land, that land can only sustain so much life, end of story. Also, while the jobs they are taking ARE mostly low paying, menial positions, has anyone other than I noticed how difficult it is for our children to get their first job? I see I seem to be having difficulty staying to a linear point, however, I'm more than sure you get the gist. I may not be a linguist, or an eloquent speaker, but I believe my point is made nonetheless. If these same migrants were to appear so unified in their determination to better their plight in their OWN countries, perhaps the point would be moot? They could try their own Boston tea party! As it stands, this appears more like a lions kill being taken by hyenas! As an aside, I am amazed that we are being threatened and beaten with our own bill of rights...So many DEMANDS from people seeking asylum, no?
