Can i travel within the US when I recently applied to adjust status?

I recently got married to us citizen. I applied to adjust status. I don't know if they got my application yet. I want to go on a trip to California with my husband. Do i need to bring anything? passport? what else?

Answer:
Carry your passport and any receipts you have for the paperwork you submitted to USCIS.
depends on the status you are currently under...

Until the change has been approved... you are under the rules of your original Visa. Go by that.
