T's the people vs. the government, new poll suggests?
It's the people vs. the government, new poll suggests.
"It is a sad commentary in America today that many Americans have lost faith in their government," Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Arizona, said. He added, "Americans don't believe that their government is representing them, is acting on their behalf. The polls show it."
I agree, we the people are regaining our powers, we need to remove the dead weight career politicians from this game permanantly.
Answer:
Congress has learned two things . 1 - That 84% of the American Taxpayers are not going away , and 2 - Congressmen that make statements against the 84% should remember this example of them and their arrogance ..." After eating an entire bull , a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring . He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him ... The Moral : When you`re full of bull , keep your mouth shut " !!
it's always people vs gov't. ask the founding fathers. why do you think we have a bill of rights.or at least we did before gw bush destroyed it and no one cared.
If the people we hire to represent us had integrity, party affiliation would be irrelevant. Our employees are supposed to be limited in what they can do by the Constitution, however, too often the people don't care about the Constitution if it gets in the way of what they want. They don't understand that undermining the Constitution hurts all of us. I think it's time the American people start to care more about their country than their personal ideology.
The Constitution is our owners' manual. Every American should read and understand it.
Interesting. I am proudly from a state where my Representatives & Senators hardly ever grace the national news. If a Congressman makes it onto CNN (or any other network) and they're not:
1. running for President, or
2. being interviewed about a bill they introduced, highly support, or highly contest,
then your Congressman has "limelight-itis" and should be checked out by the Capitol physician. I'm tired about hearing about "Democratic Representative said this" or "Republican Senator said that".
Anymore, it seems that if you're a Congressman, and don't fall into one of the two points above, you're probably in trouble, or going to be in trouble.
Oh yeah, this applies for anybody who works in the White House, too (no matter who's President.)
America needs to become more of a Confederation with a limited national government that has certainly over reached itself. States should have more freedoms and rights to run more day to day affairs that affect people locally such as social and economic issues. I believe that was the vision of The Founding Fathers. The Federal government can’t possibly micro manage every aspect of American life in a nation the size of a continent as evident by the current issues with illegal immigration and gay marriage. This is why many local governments have taken action enforcing their own policies on these issues around the nation.
I can only Hope Americans aren't lulled back into slumber.
