Is there anyway someone who was born in the UK in January 1983 can apply for a UK passport or "right to abode"

I know the law states anyone born before Dec 31 1982 is automatically a British citizen, but are there options for someone who was born in the UK after that to apply for a passport or any legal option to live and/or work in the UK?

Both parents are NOT UK citizens, but may be citizens of a Commonwealth.

Answer:
Being born here after 1982 does not give you automatic citizenship. If a parent is British, then yes, you are a citizen too, otherwise no.
A lot of countries have this rule now.
There's also complicated rules regarding being British by birth or descent. If a person is British by descent only (eg British parent, but born outside the UK) this person can't pass down citizenship to their children if they were born outside the UK.

Here's the thing:

Anyone born in Britain is automatically a British citizen, which means their parents and other family members can live there, I was born 16th Feb 1985 in Britain, both my parents are British, (as is everyone else in my family) If you were born here, or say for instance f one of your parents was British, you'd have the right to abode in the UK.
