If we as Americans made enough noise, do you think we could force our government to bring our men/women home?
I think we could.
Answer:
You know I do!
no, money controls policy, not public opinion.
I honestly believe even through the Iraq war was a mistake, we cannot just give up and give home. It will make things worse and would be a strategic blunder.
If we truly want to bring them home, we as citizens must figure a way to bring this war to a close quickly and win it and do what we can to do so.
Currently we are making an unprecedented 'amount of noise' and finally it seems to be getting through even to our deaf and dumb elected leaders. It will be difficult to extricate our forces without high casualties but I believe a draw down will start within 90 days.
It's worked in Spain and it's working in England because at the polls, it caused the election results to swing massively in favor of those against th war. I just don't see it happening here though.
I think 145 million people sickened with bush that own guns standing in a massive mob firing their weapons in the air screaming " bring them home or we march on the capitol and you all die ! " would be agood enough impression.
i would like to think so as i am australian and my daughter is married to a usa navy man with 2 sons but i dont know
(LIVING IN AMERICA)
wrong forum there lib
THE ANSWER IS NO because we have a duty to delay terrorism to its domain and not to us. If we just give up suddenly, the terrorists will follow us and expect 9/11 times 642423566673 times 44552792546866 times I HATE AMERICA to hit on us! (642423566673 and 44552792546866 correspond to 2 prominent anti-war politicians, without spaces involved). Also, the defeat of the Coalition of the Willing in Iraq could spell the start of the Apocalypse as written by Saint John the Divine.
Why is this question in immigration? Do you think our soldier's have to apply for readmission to the US?
We have a President who will not adhere to public opinion...he has proven that already...and besides, he is a lame duck President...he isnt up for re-election...until another president takes office, the status quo will remain the same I am afraid..
Yes we could.
However bring our men an women back home will only bring the terrorsit fight state side.
noooo.. george porgie doesnt wanna be a coward in fgront of iraq... if the army wear home then hed think he lost and we cant have that. who wants people to think the american president is a loser
No. Making noise usually just annoys decent people. Decisions are made through voting.
No , and on that issue, I myself would oppose it since, its a far greater Danger to America and its Citizens. The Larger
Picture, and the window in History, aren't fulled understood
by all Americans.
I think it is remotely possible. I think the bigger point is not if we could, but if we should.
let's see the support on this one you get.won't happen man nobody cares so long they can live in peaceful denial here.
No. They do what they like for special interest groups and ignore the will of the people. Neither house of the legislature or either political party does what the people want anymore.
