I bet you most of these people so eager and visceral in their remarks against immigrants are probably doing worse than a typical illegal immigrant. Visibly not intelligent (as shown in their inarticulate points). They probably feel their welfare check is being taken away.

Average one beer every 6 weeks, don't watch Springer (although we used to during lunch break at work), don't eat chips, have only collected three unemployment checks in my entire life after being laid off, never received a food stamp. As a public school teacher in America, I have issues with illegal immigrants. Federal legislation has mandated that the public schools educate children regardless of their legal status. American public schools "must" provide meals, books, pencils, paper, etc., etc., etc., to every student, regardless of whether they are "legal" or "illegal"; but, teachers are "forced" to accept students into their classroom who profess to "I do not speak English: I do not know how to read English", and we are expected to teach to these children!
As a teacher, I am subjected to daily insults by Hispanic students who speak in a language they know I do not understand. I don't object to them speaking their language outside of the classroom; but, school boards, administrators have a responsibility and duty to their state certified teachers to expect all students to speak in English!
My ancestors were Native America Indians, forced to attend Indian Schools where they were beaten if they spoke their native language. Hispanics who refuse to speak English outside their own homes, and tell me, as their teacher, that they don't speak English will get no respect from me; and, their deportation cannot be soon enough for me!
I think it's more like the hard working people that are tired of not getting the same treatment and breaks as the illegal criminals that feel we owe it to them.
Think should be those whose jobs don't require certain qualification.When their jobs are taken by the lower -paid illegal immigrants,they become spiteful and frustrated.

Btw, no kids, don't drink, never collected unemployment, don't eat chips, have every "toy" known to man from sand rails to boats, and don't hate anyone...That said, the Country can't afford to accept 12+ million ILLEGALS (what part of that word is so hard to understand?) that will drag down the living standards, because they bring nothing to the table.
You totally offended me and I dont even complain about illegals. I think they should be here. I am NOT on welfare and DO NOT receive foodstamps, but my kids live with my mother. I pay my child support, live a block from my mother, and see my kids everyday!
But other than that you prove a very valid point. They are the ones who dont leave their house and base their beliefs on what they hear...NOT what they know!!
