Is flying another countries flag, in the US, on the Fourth of July disrespectful or freedom of speech?

Answer:
Wow!
That question sure got a lot of gums flopin and 99% of them do not know the correct answer.
both
A little of both.
Both really
You can fly any flag you feel like--this is a free country but I recommend the Stars and Stripes
In my opinion, it's not disrespectful. It's you're right to fly whatever flag you want. But you might get some frowns if you're flying it in the USA at the time.
it is both .
On Independence Day only the American Flag should Fly
Freedom of Speech.

The Fourth of July celebrates the rebelion of colonies against the legitimate government.
that's what America is all about. taking over others people *#$*#

no it's not direspectful
You may fly whatever flag you wish whenever you want to.

There are rules of decorum for the timing of flying the US flag and the placement of it.

Only thought is that you're sending out a message that your neighbors will remember for a long time.
disrespectful, please show some respaect to the country your are living in...USA
No, not at all. As long as that flag does not fly higher than the Stars and Stripes.

LISTEN EVRYONE !! There are other countries that celebrate our holiday with us. It's not disrespectful to fly the flag of your ancestors either...The people from those countries, made this one.
It's not disrespectful if the both flags are flown at the same time and the American Flag is flown higher than the other. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech - there is no discussion involved with flag flying.
Touchy subject. You have the right and freedom to do it but I'd say it is disrespectful to do it, especially on the 4th.
I think it's disrespectful. No matter what culture you are, I would hang an American Flag - you live in US, so it's common courtesy to hang the US flag. Hang your other flag any other day. I dont mean to be rude.
both, but remember the U.S. flag must be above the rest. Also remember, this is the country that gives you the right to fly other flags, FREEDOM, is not free.
Disrespectful! The Fouth of July, is an AMERICAN holiday!
It is freedom of speech and to some people it might be disrespectful. That is if they aren't confident about the stars and stripes and feel like the existence of another flag somehow
diminishes our own flag.

I personally think that person might consider taking
prozac instead.
Well, the owner does have freedom of speech, so legally they are fine, but it's socially disrespectful, unless they flew both the other flag as well as the American flag. So legally it's fine, but socially it's not advised.
Check the UN.
it is not disrespectful.

that is a sign of the Independence we fought for.

real n.Americans respect all independent democracies.

its a very good day to fly every flag that agrees. or hopes!
You can still celebrate the 4th and fly "your" country's flag if you want....that's the point..we are celebrating FREEDOM.
It's disrespectful - but honesty, it's still freedom of speech. Though in a better world, ICE agents would be marking people who hold such allegiances for future illegal immigrant investigations.
Flying it where? If you went to 4th of July oriented events and flew it, it would be disrespectful to those attending... but if it is flying outside of your house, and it's always there, then I don't see the problem.
It is definitely disrespectful to fly another flag in this country, especially on the country's birthday, as it were. Freedom of speech is covered here, but I would hope one would be respectful of the freedoms they are afforded while living here and refrain from doing so.
Freedom of speech, I guess, But it is American's day
It is disrespectful, but does not break any laws...Freedom of Speech is what covers it, but it still is rude to do!
It's stupid. Why would you fly someone else's flag on the 4th of July? The 4th of July celebrates America's independence from Britain. It's like putting up Halloween decorations at Christmas time. It doesn't detract from the holiday -- you just look like an idiot. Why not fly whatever country's flag you want on a day that is important to THAT country? That's when it would have significance.
Why "disrespectful"? It is an expression of the desire to have peace and mutual understanding among different nations. And if it is "disrespectful", then why is it common in Israel, on its Day of "Independence", to flay American flags?
Definitely disrespectful and depending on where you live dangerous but alas it is also freedom of speech or expression. You wouldn't want to try this in Montana or Utah and a few of the other states who are not so PC.
