If mother is English and I'm Canadian can I apply for British passport?

Answer:
I dont believe so,as when i got my british passport it said on the aplication that if your father or grandfather was born in the UK you has status, although i believe they were going to change that. As if your more British because you father was British rather than your mother. Typical government idiots!
yes...as long as you or your bloodline is a citixen in england
Of course. I understand that all children of any parent that have a foreigner parent can have double nationality. What you have to do is to go to the British Embassy and submit your request and proving that your mother is a British citizen. Good luck.
As far as I know, anyone can apply for a passport.
