What was wrong with this que stion? I don't get why it doesn't come up.?

Answer:
Oh, I think it comes up. In small discussions everywhere. Walk into a small town barber shop where the day's topic is politics. I think people feel that is the gov't v the people at times. I certainly felt that way when Kennedy made the public comment that the Senate wasn't listening to the opposition to the immigration bill.
No matter how the media spins it, it really comes down to one thing, when the people speak the gov't is our servant and must comply or risk it's members being voted out of office.
I think some members of the Senate are slow to realize that they are instruments of the people, not our guardians in loco parentis. They are our representatives and have a responsibility not to place themselves in an adversarial position with their constituents. Many failed to do that with regards to the immigration bill.
Maybe ya spelled it wrong.
