Democrats v. Republicans, or the people, v. their government? What do you think?

(The video reference is to the one about voter confidence.)

Answer:
I think it has a lot to do with a lack of confidence by voters. People are paying attention to the issues, and Congressional records. We monitor our officials actions after they enter office and when their actions oppose those of their electorate we let them know, by voice, letter, vote.
Since people of each party and independent thinkers are voicing their concerns, it seems to be less a Dem v Rep matter, except perhaps for the politicians. It is more a people v the gov't matter. We need to be able to have confidence in those who we elect, here lately the elected haven't given us much reason to be confident in them.
I think what has changed most significantly is the awareness
of the elected officials that when we disagree, we will not give them a free hand to do as they please and they are not pleased with that concept.
I try not to.
People vs Govt..they have no credibility, and rightfully so...The American public is not stupid by any stretch of the imagination and are fed up with bonehead bills, back door deals and general lack of leadership...and finally, people are starting to let congress know what they really think about it...
