Why not? There are many Americans married to Missle Eastern women. Take the King Hussein of Jordan for instance. His widow, Queen Noor, has been a very accomplished American woman.
Marriage is about love, understanding and caring between two people, not the sort that Christian radical leaders insist to pronounce each couple as 'man and wife' only to ultimately land into divorces to make lawyers rich.
Foreign war wives for American soldiers have historically occured decades, after decades in wars. So many Americans here today have been born from such union! And so many live just as happy lives as happy couples from strictly American to American marriages... and in many cases, happier than American-to-American marriages.

Depends on a few things. American military regulations might prevent a US soldier from becoming involved with local women. Also I'm not sure if there would be anything in Iraqi law specifying whether Muslim women could marry non-Muslim men.
