I believe it will pass because that will give the democrats what they want.. millions more people voting democrat and making the republican party useless.
Don't be too surprised that George Bush veto's the Bill with his current stonewalling of the situation. The longer the problem persists the more money the right wingers will collect off of the illegal laborers.

What of those of us who are not racist and just think it is outrageous such a major piece of legislation is being proposed without even committee process and think it would be terrible for our country?
This isn't about legalization alone, I could craft a legalization I could support with enforcement and protections going forward.

The bill will probably fail. It does not address the problem like most American want, and vice-verse it does not address the problems like the Illegals want. Only helps the corporations and big business, but hey, what do you expect?
As for the comment about the racist, welcome to life. Everyone is racist in some way or another, and anyone who says they aren't is full of crap. However, I doubt that most people weight their decision's squarely on the idea of "I hate Mexicans."

Just because we are against illegal aliens does not make us racist! This issue has nothing to do with race. It doesn't' matter WHERE they come from. If they are ILLEGAL they shouldn't be here. It is really simple! Stop pulling out the race card when it doesn't apply!

Pass or fail it will be a useless piece of paper designed to accomplish nothing. The cheap labor is needed and not much will change that. The politicians in DC know where the money comes from so will do little to disrupt things.

I hope it passes. to those illegals that have been here for over 5-10 years, this is their home. They shouldnt' be deported.
