The Mex will be asked first. This is because Mexicans are far and away the largest group that enters the US illegally. So if you're looking for illegals, you're obviously more likely to find one by checking a Mexican than a Norwegian. This is just common sense, not racism.
Well I personally know of a young lady who is Irish and was deported. Her baby stayed here with the dad until they could get things straightened out.
If people from Mexico would just come here legally.

I actually know just as many white people who get deported as Mexicans. One family was from south Africa and left the country because they feared for their lives.
I realize that some people who are against illegal immigration are racist and hateful towards Mexicans, but the issue itself is not one of race. Please understand that there are statistical negative impacts that illegal immigration is having on the country. It makes most US citizens very angry. Sometimes angry people say stupid things, too.
Please do not say that you have a functional knowledge of all the immigration issues. You couldn't possibly.

But the fact remains, who did you see in the illegal alien marches of Dallas, Chicago, LA and other major American cities?
You saw people from Mexico! You saw these people carrying Mexican flags and El Salvador flags.
There were several of these marches and I didn't see a sea of "European People or Canadian People" I saw hundreds of thousands of people from Mexico and El Salvador.
Recently there was a "Day without a Mexican Day." Do you remember? Where the illegal aliens were going to sit out from work to punish the US economy. I don't recall a day without a European day -- do you?
If you live near the border or any American city it's easy to see who the illegal aliens are. I don't see my neighborhood filling up with a bunch of illegal Germans. There's no sudden increase in white people here. Nor is there a bunch of people speaking German everywhere.
But there sure are tons of new Mexican people here ... they don't know how to work the self-serve register at the grocery stores ... they walk around talking in Spanish ... etc.
All of a sudden now my mall is jam-packed with Mexican people with shaved heads, gangster clothes and trying to do the gangster thing. They're all walking around speaking spanish. I'm sorry to repeat I haven't seen the mall flooded with a bunch of Swedes either. Seeing a bunch of tall people walking around speaking a foreign language would be a dead give away don't you think?

a European immigrant walking down the streets of NY is assumed to be American, despite the fact that he/she may only know like 10 words in English. Their lack of English skills is the only thing that gives them away.
Even American-born Latinos are often asked "where are you from?/how long have you been here?"

Please don't say that when 75% of perpetrators of any offense are of a certain ethnicity that ethnicity doesn't become at least a relevent factor in screening.
