Can a registered sex offender, who is NOT on parole/probation, apply for and get a passport and leave the USA?
Answer:
I hardly think that after complete background check is done, any other country would take them either. Not to sound or come across as rude (as you are looking for a "solution")... But why don't they get together, pool their money, and buy a small island instead? Invest in a boat or two also to go to shore from time to time for supplies?
Yeah there are called politicians
Go molest penguins in Antarticta Perv.
I have a cure for you Perv. It's called a chainsaw.
Edit. I want you off the planet. Preferably DEAD and off the planet.
Sorry...isn't that what you wanted to hear?
If you wish to immigrate, you must find a nation who will accept you and apply before exit from the US and be granted permission to live and work there. That would be much easier if you have financial means or good job skills.
He can apply for and receive a passport and as long as he's
not on parole or probation he will be eligible to exit the country.
You are right, some of the people on the RSO are there inaccurately. I know someone whose ex-wife accused him and it took him 2 1/2 years to get his name cleared and his name removed. But, the registry is necessary to protect children and women from real offenders. I'm sorry your husband has been victimized.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
if as his wife, you know that he is a registered sex offender...how do you justify his actions as OK. being a registered sex offender is not handed out for no reason. I am all for him getting a passport and leaving the US. let some other country deal with his deviate issues. fyi..hate Nancy Grace and never listen to her. only know of her because my father-in-law bit*hes about her, and from SNL. not a fan. that said, you didn't defend him with his innocent sexual behavior of a minor. (not that I believe you could) but you didn't even bother to try. if you have children, i hope you watch and take care of them diligently. and yes i believe all deviant sex offenders, regardless of the crime, are just that.deviants, not worthy of respect ...ever. regardless of his offense, he needs help, and you should encourage it. your denial of his offense concerns me.
If it was involving a child, then you should stay here in the USA so we can make him suffer for the rest of his life.
Otherwise, who cares.
You shouldn't get all "pissy" at US, though ... you're the one who married him.
lets hope not
I would believe that one of the conditions of being a registered sex offender is not being allowed to receive a passport and leave the country. There are Federal Laws which established the Sex Offender Registry for the States and the Feds would make sure that a sex offender could not leave the country even if he had a valid passport or not.
If the loophole were that big, every sex offender would have left the US for elsewhere by now - probably Canada or Mexico.
