hmmm, i'd probally be just another big continent with only native indians. America wouldn't be America without immigrants, its a place where all kinds of people from other countries want to go to. at least that's what we have been doing for hundreds of years.... its the LAWS that make something simple into something big: "hey, you don't belong here, it says so in the law"

Is Mexico so great? It has astronomical unemployment. The US has approximately 4.5% unemployment. The Mexican government is plagued with corruption and is on the drug cartels payroll. Millions of Mexicans flee Mexico annually to build a better life in the US. So how would the US be a better place if it were run by Mexico?
Secondly, we kicked Mexico's butt in the Mexican-American wars. ( Thus, Texas belongs to us!! ) And we really do not feel threatened by anything Mexico can do to us.
As for the US being a "better place", it already is. That's why millions flock here annually.......legally, and illegally.
Maybe if Mexico cleaned up their act and gave their people respect and jobs, they would also have a "better place".
Maybe there would be lots of hot boys!
Actually, Mexicans were immigrants to the extent they were in the US territory. It was a Spanish Colony, remember?
It is full of Mexicans. However, we fought a war over this in 1842, and guess what? We won. It was called the War with Mexico. You obviously have not lived among these people. I have. They are loud, obnoxious, filthy, and they steal. They have brought an enormous drug trade into this country, and have been the cause of many of our youth becoming drug addicts. Our crime rate has increased dramatically. Even the best of them shoot off their guns into the air every Friday and Saturday night. If you think that Mexico is a better place, move there.
