Theoretically...If all the Mexican citizens that cross the border illegally were...?

doctors , nurses, lawyers, engineers , sport stars , and other upstanding citizens with their own money...would they be stopped at the border?

Answer:
Yes. Why should they get the special treatment? Every day thousands of illegal aliens enter this country. If they want to come into the U.S. so badly they should become permanent citizens and wait. How hard is that? They should be stopped.
Probably not.
yea... and whats nurses doing in this list
I don't think so, unless they pay their way in at the border.
well, hell no! it's all such nonsense!
Then who would cut my grass?
A. They would not be wanting to cross.

B. They would probably be trying to keep us out, instead of the other way around.
Yeah, I hate lawyers--doctors, too!
i would hope so...if they are upstanding they would do it legally...
If they had those specifications, they'd probably become US citizens the legal way in the first place.
If they are coming in illegally why not?
Ummm. no... but how many of those mexicans can there be? and they should not cross... If they do...then what will mexico be left with?
of course they would illegal is ILLEGAL..what part of that dont you understand
I would hope so, but not bet on it. Reality is that they ignored our laws, they should be caned and shipped back. I do not care what their profession. We need to stop allowing them to stay. This amnesty bill is a nightmare!
Not sure, I just know this country is dependent on cheap labor.These people don't provide cheap labor.These people are actually allowed in legally because of there potential contributions...They are much more likely to get sponsors.
Who knows. Maybe, maybe not. Their social and or economic standing should not be a determining factor to uphold the law.
Theoretically... No!!
Realistically.....No!!
It seems that no one is getting stopped at the borders.
Here Lassie, Here girl, go find Timmie.
They are still Illegal, they should be stopped at the border. IIllegal is illegal period.
Yes. Because Mexican educational quality skills apparently are way way different than US educational quality skills.

Also; Mexican peso is useless compared to USD. Good luck bribing that US Border Patrol guy w/ Mexican pesos.

Doesn't matter if they carry Enstein's IQ: enter the US as a non-citizen.get boomeranged back to Mexico or wherever country you call home.
probably not the sports stars because american sports recruit heavily in foreign countries. we have a lot of lawyers so they would be stopped unless they had jobs arranged. alot of our doctors are foreign so no problem there. there is a big nurse shortage so they can come. all of these people can come on in as long as they have made application to the proper authority and they are willing to work and be a part of the american culture. otherwise no they cannot come in. you see illegal is illegal no matter what your profession.
They wouldn't have any reason to.
The people that cross the border are of six groups (or a combination thereof)
1) the desperately poor and uneducated that don't know enough how to apply;
2) those without sufficient skills to find appropriate work and end up on public assistance (welfare) and thus would not pass that border check;
3) those with a felony record who could not get past that check;
4) those with a serious contagious disease and would not pass that border check;
5) those actively trying to undermine the United States and make it part of Mexico.
6) those seeking to commit crimes and run drugs.

Why would an honest, hard-working person risk arrest and shame, breaking the law of a country they love to enter the country illegally when they could enter legally and be there as a real United States citizen, forever?

Yes, the people you mention ARE stopped at the border if caught crossing illegally. Best to check the rest of the story on WHY they did it.

Those doing it legally? Those are my brothers. I stand proudly with them.
Good question... Here is your answer

If they were worth a damn they would cross legaly. You CAN come into the country without swimming and running thru a desert.

But lets take a different view.

My brother in law is the poster child for why we allow immigration. He is MENSA, works for national security, Served in the USAF.

HIS brother is the poster child for why we do NOT allow just anyone to come over. He is a druggie. He is a drunk. He has 4 children that he acknowledges and others that he is charged with. Of those 4 he cares for none of them, leaving them instead with his mother (who came in illegaly) who speaks no english. Currently he is dead, a victem of his drug and alcohol mixed with his motorcycle.

Given the chance we would have taken my brother in law and left his brother out. Now because of their mom, we now have several more people sucking up money that could be used for OUR kids (ie those of us here legaly). He didnt have insurance, and didnt leave anything for his kids. He was on welfare and other state programs.

Yes they would know about drug usage. The medical tests needed to come into the USA are very complete. I know for a fact as my wife is from Canada. She came here legally.

We could have just had her come to visit, f*cked like bunnies and popped out a kid to get her to stay, but we are better than that. So we followed the rules. Paid the fees, did the paperwork, all of it. It took 6 months to complete. And was worth every penny. She works legally, pays her taxes, etc, etc. After what bushy did we wish she had come here legaly as her taxes were MUCH higher than what the fine was and we would not of had to pay all that money to begin with. But again, we are so much better than those bastard mexicans, so of course we did it the right way.

I am in full support of sending everyone one of those non english speaking idiots home and tagging them with enough explosive that if they come within 100 yards of the border, they and 10 people with them all die.
if that was the way it was, it would not be such a problem because that would drive down the price of, say, seeing a doctor, lawyer, nurse, engineer, etc. Of course, that woudn't be so good for the rich people so the ones who support it now would be the ones against it in that case. That would actually be GOOD for the middle class.

The way it is now is DESTROYING the middle class because it is flooding the job market with cheap workers, driving down wages for everyone, but increasing profits for the rich. This will obviously just make a greater divide between the rich and the poor - the way it is in mexico.
blur the lines, that's what you do best... bury the truth with idiotic nonsense scenarios.
If they were all these, we wouldn't have them all crossing the border illegally. It is only the illiterate and poor who want into America so they can suck up all the free stuff we give them.
"Upstanding citizens" would not be crossing the border "illegally"... Only someone that is not very smart would characterize an upstanding citizen as being illegal!
SOLVE THE PROBLEM------MAKE MEXICO YOUR NEXT STATE

AB
No, they wouldn't be stop but don't fool yourself, majority of illegal people that come here also have a college degree or are professionals also, just do a survey on your own, and find out why they keep coming in here: first of all for the so call democracy that we have in our countries, that been promoted for the big fish UNITED STATES.
