There was a woman journalist on C-SPAN last week. She wrote a series of articles in the Denver newspaper about a particular neighborhood and its population of illegal immigrants as well as its population of legal immigrants and native-born citizens who are bi-lingual.
Very few people understand the dimensions and the dynamics of the immigration phenomenon as it plays itself out at the street level.
Very few politicians from either political party have any idea what is going on at the street level within our communities across the United States.
They are almost completely out of touch, and yet, they presume to solve our complicated problems with the stroke of a pen and a televised signing ceremony with our main INEPTITUDE in CHIEF when some sham of a bill has been hammered out by both houses!
Another "SHAMNESTY BILL" will have been passed with such unenforceable components to it that it is 99.999% symbolism over almost non-existent substance.
I have called my County Registrar Of Voters to request them to mail me the form that will allow me to re-register as an Independent.
If enough people from the Democratic and Republican parties do this, then the fear of God will be put into ALL of the representatives in Washington over this singular, but all-important issue of immigration.
It is time a viable third party emerges that will end the current situation where representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties take our votes for granted and proceed to BETRAY us with a contrived amnesty bill that rewards people for a full range of illegal actions and fraudulent activities.
It is time to end this 2-party monopoly and this fundamental disconnect by our elected officials from our legitimate interests.
