Why most States , Counties, and cities in Aztlan ( South West USA ) have Spanish names?
Nevada
San Diego
San Mateo
Santa Barbara
El Dorado
etc etc...
Answer:
This Aztlan stuff is BS, but I will entertain your question because you would like an informed answer. Much of this territory was former territory of Spain. Just like in the Northeast most if not all of the towns have English names. Cities like Boston, Birmingham, Portsmouth, and Bridgeport are all also big cities in England. Many towns in Upstate NY have names based on native American tribe names they have cities like Seneca and Mohawk.
Not to mention the street names, schools and most anything with a name.
Because most of those place were founded by Spain.
Obviousley you are living in the past and your government decided to teach you about old history but forgot to put in the most important part http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/treaty_of_g...
You show me, on a map where Aztlan is. Oh and when you go there next time, say hi to the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion for me.
Because they once belonged to SPAIN.. you know.. that country in Europe?
think about it . . . why are so many Mexicans mad on that issue. why do they say, "we didn't cross the border, the border crossed us."
these areas were initially colonized by spain
because they were Spanish-Mexican colonies.
Maybe because they did belong to Mexico and these betraying white people killed the people and they're little children and stole the land, What they say in the school literature books is not true, the truth is they killed and stole the land.
