Have I lost my Mind? I have a plan, solving the problem of border protection with Mexico ! Am I crazy??
1. When we bring home, (back to the USA,) our active duty military troups, that still have active duty time yet to be served, why not create 4 "shifts" (3 shifts of 8 hours each, + one shift off due to shift rotation), AND STATION THEM ALONG THE BORDER, from Brownsville, Texas, all the way to the Pacific Ocean,at San Diego, California. The Politicians probably won't like this idea because it deprives them of wasting hugh amounts of tax money reserved for their coronies !!
2. There would, also, be a group of soldiers processing the paperwork that facilitates the Avg. Mexican, to enter the USA legally. Current paperwork time frame is now 7 to 9 YEARS!! The current illigal Mexican immigrants would have two (2) years to acquire their papers!

To the First answer - Many of our illegal Latinos are paying taxes - the US collected over 13 Billion dollars in taxes from those participating in the W-7 ITIN numbers and filed in the past 4 yrs.
To the second answer. No it would not be illegal or a police action because our military would be on our land not Mexicos. Their federales are doing it and looking the other way for money. Lets keep them honest and keep them on their toes!
It would be a good idea. I have said the same thing myself. Why not put military on the borders and even near Canada. Those people crying they can't find work because "Mexicans are taking their jobs" then send them to the border. Now they have jobs and no "Mexicans" would go un noticed. You then would have a person every 1/4 mile patroling.
And yes if we had enough people to do the paperwork more effeciently and reform the criteria and shorten the wait time you would have more people applying legally and standing by the law of visas and residency cards. Lower the costs for 3yr visas and shorten the criteria for their paper work. Resident alien status would insure more taxes being paid (there are a lot of Americans that don't even pay their taxes either so don't even go there) and have a criteria of 2 terms of temp 3 yr visa already on the books. My favorite motto is "Make it Simple stupid". Hope your idea gets recognized.
Just put thousands of 1040 federal tax forms on the border. Illegal aliens won't go anywhere near them.

That would be illegal. Military cannot be used for a police action. (yes it is a police action as we are at peace with mexico)

answer#2 soldiers arent any better at paperwork than the people who are working there now and it is just crazy to give illegals 2 yrs of amnesty before they have to even think of doing paperwork
its not that immigration cant handle the paperwork its the quotas that they have to meet yearly
thats why the line is so long...more and more people enter the line and you can only do X amount of green cards a year.
The illegals would just steal our soldiers gear/weapons & our female soldiers as well. Even if we built a concrete "Israel" type wall, thet'd just steal that too! Don't think land mines either, they'd just dig em up & resell them to the terrorists!
You need to look up the term "posse comitatus." It's illegal.
So you are advocating that our military who has been stressed beyond belief should put in more duty in order to make life easier for illegal aliens getting amnesty?
All we need to do is to take away all of the incentives for illegals to come here in the first place and they will self-deport free of charge to taxpayers. No more welfare, jobs, medical, schooling, food stamps, anchor babies, AND NO MORE AMNESTIES!!!!!
We already take in over 1 million immigrants every year. We are growing in numbers far faster then we ever have as a country. By "speeding up" the process you are actually saying you want more then we are currently allowing to immigrate. We do not have the schools, medical facilities, housing, open spaces, fresh water supplies or infastructure to supply those things for the numbers we already take in. So how do you propose we double or triple the numbers?
I don't know tough question. we used to be the melting pot but I guess things have to change.
maybe if we got out of this illegal war and used the money to help our neighbors build their economy it would help.
I heard someone suggest putting in barbed wire and land mines. Not the most PC of suggestions, but it seems we have to do something drastic

How do you propose getting them to volunteer since it a voluntary military. Sounds like you are wanting to draft only certain people.
10 foot wall on the border of Mexico, another 10 foot wall about 1 mile into the U.S. Land mines, snipers, rabbid dogs, and all of our death row inmates right in there. Let's see them come over now!
