I want to work for the city job but i got arrested 7 years ago for stalking my girlfriend.?

She called a cop on me and i spent 1 night in jail. Should i apply the city job and do you think they won't hired me if they knew i was arrested b4 ? By the way , i live in San Francisco CA - my arrested record stay 4ever?

Answer:
You may be able to have your record expunged if you haven't been in trouble since. Contact the courthouse where you were prosecuted for info. If you can have the record expunged you can legally answer no to the question of whether or not you have been arrested.

P.S. Where I live in there is a registered sex offender working for the city. Your arrest may not matter at all.
I doubt San Francisco would care about any arrest record unless it contained an arrest and / or conviction for a hate crime against homosexuals.

PS - In San Francisco, you better be careful about your inputs.
Put in for it. If you don't, you sure won't get the job. Just be honest. I think they usually only care about convictions anyway. Good luck.
