4. Send them to Iraq and bring the Americans home

The Roman empire fell partly because the citizens would not fight; they hired mercenaries, as the illegals would be. Many of the illegals can't speak English so they would be unable to join our military. The solution to the immigration problem is simple.
1. Enforce current laws, especially arrest employers of illegals.
2. Build a complete, stout border fence with Mexico.
3. End chain immigration; by passing HR 938 by Phil Gingrey.
4. Make being in our country illegally a felony punishable by a 60-day sentence for repeat offenders.
5. Have the Social Security system check the SS #/s of all new hires.
6. Keep the National Guard on border patrol duty and let them interdict intruders.
7. Stop providing social services to those who are in this country illegally.
8. Mexico must be charged for the cost of incarceration of its citizens.
9. End the practice of dual citizenship. You are an American, or you are not!
10. English must be made the National Language.
11. All U.S. police officers must determine the citizenship of those who they arrest, and the illegals must be deported upon completion of their sentences.
12. End the practice of giving U.S. citizenship to the children of illegal aliens.
This is not rocket science! We just need determination by our leaders to solve this problem, and we must stop the Senate from passing the truly awful amnesty bill that it is debating.
Stiff fines and penalties for US employers who hire illegals. Send the word to other countries we are doing this. No jobs/no money. They won't pay hundreds for the smugglers to get them here if there's nothing waiting here for them.

lol...that would solve the illegal immigration problem...they'd all go home first or be killed! The Japanese American soldiers in WWII were brave, heroic, AND came to this country legally. Illegal aliens are just criminals.

Enforce Existing Laws!
We did the same thing to the Irish during the Civil War. They would get off the Boat, become US Citizens, be Drafted and sent to the Army in about one hour. The result was Anti War rioting in New York City.
I also say that we need to enforce existing laws. We allowed one amnesty deal with the understanding that we would never be in that situation again. They passed tough laws on employers and landlords that would make it impossible for illegal immigrants to find work or housing in this country. Of course, they had no intention of enforcing those laws and now we are in a worse situation than we were in the 80's.
It's time for the federal government to do what they said that they would do when they passed the amnesty bill in the 80's and it's time for the federal government to reform immigration laws so that state and local governments can pass their own laws and join in the fight to stop illegal drugs and illegal immigrants from flooding our streets.
It's time to bring our national guard home and let them patrol our borders and keep the homeland secure like they agreed to do when they signed up. We keep hearing how the terrorists want to attack us and the morons up there have done very little to secure our ports and borders.
150,000 people from countries known to sponsor terrorism were caught trying to cross our borders illegally last year. The INS estimates that 3 or 4 get in for every 1 they catch. Do the math. Our borders should have been shut down on 9/12. The practice of letting people overstay their visas should have been stopped on 9/12. We made a show in Afghanistan without catching or killing the people we went their to find and then we went right to Iraq.
Americans have lost many rights since 9/11 in order to make us more secure at home and yet nothing else has been done to prevent a widespread terrorist attack from taking place in the near future. As long as we have illegal drugs and illegal immigrants flooding our streets, the terrorists are free to sneak into this country and bring any weapon they want with them. God help America!!
