Well you answered your own question very well. However I have one or two things I would to add if that's OK. Most illegal aliens are drawn here by our freedom and riches and want a piece of the pie especially since we have not enforced immigration laws for the last 40 years or so. They don't understand what made America great which was many people from different cultures pulling together as one nation under a constitution and laws that granted them (and us) life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not stick your hand in the cookie jar and get what you can while there is still something in there. They for the most part have no allegiance to America because we don't make it a prerequisite any more. The other thing I can understand is the libs wanting them to become legal and then citizens because 90% of them and the family members they bring over once the bill is signed will vote Democrat once they wave the 5000 dollar fine and put them on a fast track for citizenship. That's over 100 thousand people we are talking about .It will be hog heaven for the libs! They have a new crop of welfare babies that need to be taken care of. And they can procede with their plan to make America into an equal 3rd world country with so many others.What boggles my pea brain is why is Bush so for this? Just doesn't make sense to me at all. I would add what I consider to be the trump card in this argument: By accomodating illegal aliens, we inihibit our ability to accomodate legal aliens.
When we discuss the merits of the various amnesty proposals on the board right now, the principle argument I hear is that we must treat illegal immigrants in a humane fashion, and that deporation is inherently inhumane. This argument counteracts that argument.
Further, the fact that we are not allowing legal immigrants means that we are denying immigration to those who would assuredly follow our laws. We are denying the opportunity to those from nations that do border us. We are denying the opportunity to skilled laboreres and entrepreneurs.
By shortchanging those who abide by our policies, we are shortchanging ourselves. I think this unifies and amplifies the points you mention.
Side note: It will be interesting to see the number of people who ignore your question by arguing with your individual points. I put the over/under at 4. If I'm right, do I get ten points :)

If you do a little research, you will find that most of what you have listed was also written about the Irish, Italian, Polish and Eastern European immigrants.

1.) The hundreds of cases of illegal immigrants drunk driving that kill familes as well as a soldier here in maryland.

They should all be deported. I am so sick of having to watch where i am walking, so i can avoid them. My town is overwhelmed by mexicans, all the decent people have moved or are considering moving out of town. I go to college, and you would be amazed by how many mexicans, that i know are illegal, go to school there and get everything for free while i am paying out of my pocket. When will america wake up and see what is happening. If you do some research you will see all the crime (in maryland) that is in result of mexicans. It's rediculous. We just had a case where a mexican man killed his 4 children (all like 9 months apart...sad they spit babies out like rabbits) and then his wife, and than himself. They later found they were in the country illegally and actually where living in a house that the gov't paid for.not renting...actually BOUGHT and paid for.

It is true that illegals that work here will always say "we work hard" and stuff, but HONESTLY, illegals should understand that Americans have the right to decide what's right for their country! You are stereotyping. My entire speech class got mad at a guy that said exactly the same thigs that you just listed, they accused him of racist and a lot of other things... let me say that the class size was about 25 students, 20 whites, 2 hispanics (including me) and 3 african american.
I am hispanic, I'm permanent resident and my family and I had to wait more than 15 years for those papers and I am supposed to be mad because some people just enter to this country in a very short time. While my family had to spend ridiculous ammounts of money, wait more than 15 years, hire two lawyers, get a lot of medical exams and vacuums as if we were Aliens or from another planet, do a bunch of paperwork, an extensive interview with the embasador, my uncle had to travel to my country (Dominican Republic) to go to the interview with the embassador; others just come and it takes them just a few days, but you know what? I'm not mad at them! I know, it is true, they are comming illegally to this country and some americans may not like it and I understand it, what I don't like is the stereotyping. Not all of those people came to drink, steal, rape or sell drugs, most of them have a really hard situation in their country and come here just to make some money. My mother knows some illegal people and most of them plan to go back to their country, they just came for a period of time to work.
I also know that there are others that come here to cause troubles, a group of 10 south - american guys maybr from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador or somewhere around there started to hit my brother at downtown Baltimore. My brother didn't know them and he was talking on the phone in the walkway waiting for my cousins when this guys came over him, thankfully he is strong and he could deffend himself and then my cousisn, some friends and the police came and arrested the 10 boys, nothing big happened to my brother. I don't know what happened with the guys.
Last September when I was 17 years old, a mexican man (he was about 35-36), I knew that he had false documentation. He came to where I work and I was helping him get his proof of insurance for his car that was towed or something like that and then he suddendly entered to my office and started to purpose nasty thing to me and touch my shoulder, I was alone and really scared, thankfully I acted fast and found the way out to stand up of my seat and run outside, things didn't go farther thanks God and then he left and I've never seen him again thankfully. I was a minor by that time so what he was doing was illegal, irrespetuous and immoral, I was soooo scared!
I also know people that are so sweet, so nice, that are illegal and they just try to get a better lifestyle for their kids and family. I know a guy from El Salvador that became one of my best friends during my junioir year in high school that he was one of the best students of the school, he was so bright and he wanted to go to college. He graduated with honors and couldn't go to college just because of his status.
Most of the illegal immigrant I know are very nice people, and I would help them whenever they need any help.
There are legal people and even US citizens that act worst.

Unfortunately, the terrorists who tried to take down our government were not illegals. They had papers to get into this country. The immigration laws have been around quite awhile, it is only the fear of losing that made Americans aware of them. It's like the laws were put aside until needed. By the way, THANK YOU FOR NOT LABELING "ILLEGAL ALIENS" AS MEXICAN. I get so sick of hearing that term! All illegals are not only from Mexico!
