Do you consider me a criminal?
Answer:
Parents always do the best for their children, specially our parents that are inmigrants, I wouldn't pay no attention to anybody calling my parents criminals or soever cause think about it this society has more corruption than any one and plus the moral codes here are far from good compare to our countries, so do not worry about they way they feel, and stop calling yourself a criminal cause you are not, and I wouldn't blame my parents neither. wish you luck and even thou I feel sad about the reform, I will never lose my faith.
You are here illegally and something that is illegal is criminal.
The bottom line is that you are here illegally. Breaking the law makes you a criminal. Period.
By the way, I cant afford to take my family to Disneyland and WE LIVE in the United States. Your family couldnt have been too bad off if they were able to afford a vacation to America.
First off I'd like to congratulate you on your high GPA and I wish you continued success in your academic career. I honestly mean that.
For the past few weeks you have executed the most vibrant display on this issue that you could muster. Now with this piece of information I understand your thinking. By not being a citizen of this country you are not afforded the exclusive right, privilege nor luxury to even be a participant in this process. Not once did you ever think of how a bill of this nature could affect this entire country and every one of her citizens. Your thought in this matter concerned you and only you. You claim to "love" and "appreciate" this country. Yet your thoughts, words and actions speak differently. Here, a country who has provided you with the wonderful life you lead and your thought of repayment and respect is, "To heck with what this bill could do to this country as long as I get MY legal status". You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself. If you are not, don't worry Metro, this country and her citizens will once again take up your slack and be ashamed for you.
The fact is, your whole family is here illegally. Since you were a minor, it is your parents who broke the law, not you. You might want to contact a legal aid group and see if they'll help you. Good luck with that since you're not an illegal from Mexico.
No, I don't consider someone like yourself a criminal, by any stretch of the imagination. This is why we need immigration reform, so that we can stop criminalizing innocent people...
depending on the age, u were a little kid and didnt know anything. yeah, techniclly its illegal, but if you packed up and used passports and came through the US legally, nuthin to worry about. however, a tourist visa..yeah, u r a minor criminal, but its ur parents fault. im polish too, dude, so i hear ya about the economy and stuff. but i was born in the US, so it doesnt apply to me.
now that you posted this, they are going to come kick you out of our country!
I have nothing against ppl who really have no choice & strive to be Americans.
It is the free loaders that use this country & make fools of us & have no respect!
You have not done anything illegal, your parents have. I do not consider you a criminal. You have lived in the U.S. for most of your life right? This is home to you. Is there anyway for you all to live in the U.S. legally? I do not know anything about immigration laws, but there should be a way to make it legal.
The bottom line is that you and your parents are in this country illegally . There is, however, a way you can fix that. First of all, since you were a minor at the time, It was your parent's fault. All you need to do is go through the naturalization process and become a true U.S. citizen. And no, you are not the criminal in this situation.
Cry me a river Metro. All your answers are pro-illegal so you must identify with them.
Yes you are illegal. congrats on the 4.0, I only have a 3.96.
When you were brought here you were a child and had no say in the matter. Now you do, you are illegal. I would say get a lawyer and explain the situation and send your criminal parents back. Of course you won't do that they are your parents. I only wish I knew who you were for real so I could report you. You are pro-illegal and don't deserve to be here. You are doing nothing for this country, but your views on here show that you are a willing tool of the people who want to destabilize our country.
I do no consider you a criminal since it wasn't by your choice. Technically you'd be an illegal immigrant, being that your status here is illegal, but as far as anybody I know is concerned, the worry isn't that people are comming to the US... it's the effects it has on us. The problem comes when they aren't doing the things you have listed like paying taxes, keeping a job, staying off of welfare, and taking care of the their own healthcare costs, and staying out of trouble. I'd say do what you can to become a citizen as soon as possible, and remember; America was built on freedom and immigration, if you're doing what a true citizen should, I've got nothing agianst you or your family.
Is that why you're such a butthead metro? All you had to say is i'm here illegally and here's my story and why I support the bill instead of lashing out at everybody and you may have gotten nicer more sympathetic responses.
You sound like you have money so why didn't you guys do something about your legal status? Why not try to move to a better Euro country for work?
Yes,you are a criminal, you're breaking the law and while I feel bad for you (despite all the crappy things you've said to me) I can't condone or support what you're doing. You need to make it right.
I don't have money or anything and don't know what I could do but if I can help you I will.
I know some folks who have left the US to work in Poland. If you're a good citizen, then you'll do fine in your motherland. As for breaking the law, that is what determines you're a criminal. It sounds like you want to stay in the US. Do you want to be a citizen? If so, do the right thing.
You want me to understand what exactly? How old are you now? In what year did your parents come, and bring you to U.S? I need more info before I can give you a complete and honest answer.
This part you wrote - "The only way I can be legal is if the DREAM Act passes in congress"
No - actually you'll still be illegal, but "legal" in a sense to sponge taxpayer dollars to fund your education. Did your parents and you contribute anything to taxes?
No, you are not a criminal, and your parents either, they are just parents, hope you can get papers soon thou and help your parents to get them too, good luck.
Yes you and your parents are here illegally
I can't believe the law hasn't caught up with them!
Sorry I don't know you but you have just described what is wrong with the "system".
Your parents came on a tourist visa and over stayed their vist by decades.
What bugs me most is the fact that Europeans are able to get away with this but Haitians are IMMEDIATELY sent to jail without due process or even legal representation.
We have been told they need to be kept out because they are fleeing economic depravity as opposed to Cubans who are fleeing communism. but but you have just stated your family is (was) escaping poverty as well.
Likewise what are Mexicans fleeing?
Again your status is a model of what is wrong and unfair
Yes, because you said you wouldn't invite us to your party the other day.
If that isn't a crime.
Legally speaking, yes. Mostly since you are now an adult and still remain in the country. But there is a difference between legality (human law) and morality (God's law).
I would argue that God made land and then made humans, then He gave the land to the humans. And that is any currently accepted religion (meaning mainstream--like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, etc.); God always gives the land to all humans as a gift for them from which to live. How can we say to some of those humans that they can't have the gift God gave to them solely because they weren't born between the arbritrary lines we call borders.
You are my brother; the Hispanics that are the current target, Blacks as the former target, women who are often still held down and given even less consideration than many other minority groups, homosexuals, political opposites, white males who have suffered now for what there predecessors have done to the other groups--all of these are my brothers and sisters. I am their brother as well. We must quit trying to crush others for our own gain. When we help each of these up, they can in turn help us up; rather than trying to hold all of these down out of fear they will take all.
When we work together, we will always be able to create more for everyone to have some; rather than the select few. That is the true teaching of God's word, no matter which version of the word you go with (Old or New Testament, the Torah, the Talmud, the Qu'ran, the Amida Sutra, etc.).
It is silly to dislike you. However, if you are silent about this, if you do not turn yourself in upon becoming an adult, (before that you should do as your parents wish), you will be doing something criminal.
Do some research, get legal representation, and then turn yourself in, making clear that you were a minor before and followed your parents' wishes until then. You have done the necessary research, wish to do what is right, and wish to become an American citizen. (Be sure to get all the possible options available before doing this).
If you make it, welcome to America! We need more patriotic Americans.
You are a criminal upon reaching majority age (18) if you do not do this, yes.
Someone has to be held accountable.
I'd arrest you in a heartbeat. You're illegal. It's your job and problem to sort that out. SOB stories don't go anywhere with me. I've heard hundreds of them.
I don't care about your GPA or how tough you had it. The Law says you are illegal and it would be my job to incarcerate you and turn you over to Immigration for deportation. Nothing personal. It's the law, and we are a nation of laws. You should try following them and self-deport yourself.
Edit:
"The only way I can be legal is if the DREAM Act passes in congress"
Not a chance in hell.
...damn Metro...not everyone thinks there is anything wrong with people coming here legal or not...ALL of U.S. hav a history of visiting then staying...take it easy let everyone argue it to death...all I hav 2 say is welcome...congrats on doing something with your life...it's a great beginning and good luck will follow.=)...don't lose your faith.
You have posted this more than once, why do you keep asking the same question when you know the answers are going to hurt
Poland? No you're good...have a happy stay and welcome friend .
yeah
Yes.you and your parents are criminals..
Just got a hold of this link for those questions that I can't get feedback that I most disagree with:)
Though they might not get a reply due to the thousands of questions that she gets.

Being in this country illegally is a crime, I guess that would make you a criminal.
I consider you a twat. You give too many one liner responses and don't justify your thoughts enough to allow people to see your reasoning (strangely enough this post has more than one line.. oh wait.. that's because you're trying to get the sympathy vote.. okay I understand now) and thus open yourself up to snarky comments and insults.
Whether or not I consider you a criminal depends on which side of 18 you are. If you are still under, you're a child and therefore it's your parents fault. If you're over then you can take responsibility for your own actions and you are deliberately staying in a country to which you have to right to be in and flaunting the law. As a result you should be going back to Poland (either that or the EU since Poland are in the EU now) and returning legally.
It looks like you don't want understanding. You want a sympathy vote from all those legal and able to vote for your so-called dream act.
BTW I hear that your 4.0 GPA isn't going to help you get into college since you're an illegal immigrant. Have fun with that.
