Why don't people want the illegal immigrants to get citizenship?
To summarize
They are wasting our money by not paying taxes.
You need people to do lower class jobs.
They will continue to stay here even if we don’t give them citizenship.
We must give them citizenship-it is the only realistic solution.
Also, last time I asked this people said that giving them citizenship is like surrendering. I don’t think it is because there punishment would be paying a fine and other requirements. This is actually more like a compromise.

You are totally correct when you mention sending our production over to China. This is exactly what happens, at least we can try to reduce the carbon footprint on an items production, whereas in Beijing...where you can barely breath...they have no care for emissions of any kind.therefore creating terrible global warming. Mind you.if Bush was to agree to limit their ...would be modern civilisation (said through gritted teeth) emissions...that would be a huge step forward.

Gee, this same question keeps being asked in the same manner by different people. I'm thinking that this is some sort of campaign.
There is a process for acquiring American citizenship. People are currently going through this process. Giving a very large number of people a free pass to ignore that process would only encourage many, many more people to ignore the process.
Thus, Amensty isn't /just/ Amnesty for current illegals, it's abolishing immigration law entirely.
And, less you think I overstate that, just look into the last Amnesty. In '86, Amnesty was offered to the aproximately 3 million illegals in America at the time, it was ultimately granted to about 5 million. In the 21 intervening years, over 12 million more have poured into the country illegally.
Amnesty of any kind, no matter how it may be dressed up as a 'compromise,' is not a solution. It can only make things worse going forward.
I not only do not want someone who broke laws to be rewarded with citizenship.
I want businesses busted for hiring illegals, I want all social
programs to require background checks so that no one illegal is gettin welfare.
I want it so people will not come here illegally ( well maybe a drug dealer still would be those can be dealt with ) because they won tbe able to get a job or social benefits.
Very simple - they're criminals. If we start prosecuting people who employ illegals, they won't hire illegals. So if illegals can't get jobs here, they'll leave!
Giving them citizenship is rewarding them and essentially saying,it's okay to break our laws.
Deny them any help or reason to be here and they will go,it's simple really.
U.S. Citizenship is precious and a gift that few people in the world get.

If they want Citizenship, do what millions of LEGAL immigrants do. Come legally under our laws, wait your five years, and become a citizen.
