I have a long story to tell but first I will let you know who I am. I am a 22 year old female that was born in the USA and married to A US citizen. My parents emigrated from Macedonia to the US when I was a baby. Shortly after my parents died. Most of my family stayed in Europe and most of them now live in Switzerland. I would like to live with my family members in Switzerland. My sister and her family all have gained Swiss citizenship a few years ago. As Swiss citizens, do they have the right to bring extended family members to live with them in their home? I heard that the Swiss government will accept a person that had certain compelling reasons to apply for a permit to live/work in Switzerland to be with family. Is there some truth to this? Do I have any hope? There has to be some sort of law that permits family to be together considering that I don't have any other family besides my spouse and daughter.

One time you say you were born in the USA and then you say your parents came to the US when you were a baby. It doesn't really matter...Swiss is not a member of the EU. and I understand that you were born to Swiss parents then that makes you an automatic Swiss citizen whether you were born here or there. Both the switz and the US allow people to have dual citizenship. You will not need a workers permit to work in switz since you are considered a citizen . You need to obtain your Swiss birth certificate and go to Europe or to the Swiss embassy in DC and apply for a Swiss passport. this way you will have both passports ...Swiss and US. If that doesn't work, you can always work as a hooker in Europe.
