If the opportunities were not here, then they would not be trying to get here. I do think laws should be updated to make it that children born here need to have parents that are citizens of the country before the child can become an automatic citizen.

I live very close to the literal Navajo Nation (tribe here). Illegals cross through it to reach major cities. I actually read this morning an article about how illegals leave tons and tons of trash on the reservations, including human waste and illicit drugs, and as such, the local wildlife is dying off.
The argument you brought up about "Whites stole this land" is irrelevant. EVERYONE came from somewhere else. Where did Native Americans come from, the mud and the air? Try the Bering Strait, try Africa, try researching history. This is the here and now though...

Who was first here, has nothing to do with the immigrations problems. If USA has or not a good economy is not an argument to support illegal immigration.
I am Mexican, I never live in USA (I visit it sometimes during my vacations), so I have a more objective view of the situation. There are 2 more important facts:
-USA has the right to protect his country and his community, and regulate the immigration, how the US citizen need it, to avoid that people, who is not paying taxes, use the Wealtfare system.
- Mexican workers have the right to be requested officially, if they are needed, and to receive all the benefits, which every person in the whole world receive.
What help all the measures, rights and laws, if thousend of US citizens don't realize, what they are doing to his country, when they try to "save" some dollars and hire an illegal immigrant? Here is a way to stop the illegalimmigration.

First off you reference to hunting buffalo and sweat lodges are stereotypes, "Shame On You!", but you are correct on your hypothetical question. Without the jobs and the employers willing to hire illegals 2 to 1 and sometimes 3 to 1 for what they would pay legal workers to do those jobs, there would be no reason for them to cross over.
No they are only here for what we can do for them. Make it illegal for money orders and western union to send money to mexico and see how many leave.
