I'm serious...and I'm talking the real country Mexico. Also, very few of the Americans even bother to work or even to learn Spanish. Are we taking over?
(Well, of course I'm referring to American retirees but I never hear of any problems caused by their residing in Mexico. There's nothing inherently wrong with living among Mexicans)

Yes, your right and guess what? The ones who live there LOVE it.They have quality of life, its more laid back, than here and the food is the best..Plus there dollars goes so much farther.
And some do move there ILLEGALLY! They are anti American and are liberal hippies living off the land! They are political refugees...

Well maybe because they go down there and add to the economy. But if they try to send pesos back to America lets see what happens.
You are right. And well, you never hear anything, because Mexico likes American people. Even though some of them are there illegally. Mexico benefits from the American people, whether they are visiting or residing there.

Nevertheless, the facts remain: 1 million compared to 12 million and legal immigration compared to illegal immigration. Plus, the retirees are not taking jobs away from citizens and they are bringing in more money to the Mexican economy. They are getting paid from American funds, social security, IRAs, 401ks, etc. and spend that money on the Mexican economy. It actually helps Mexico out. It doesn't drive down wages.
Yes. Mexico is a favored retirement location for many Americans. They enter legally and they support the Mexican economy. Their retirement money goes much farther. It is a win win situation.

The difference is those retired Americans are spending hard earned American money and giving it to the Mexican economy.They are not taking jobs away from Mexicans and are paying for their own health care.They are an asset to Mexico.
