Yeah, I live in this guys state. It is an embarrassment that he wants to try to bring this back. He just doesn't understand that Americans don't want this bill or most parts of this bill. Secure the borders, show definitive progress in stopping the flow of illegals, then come back and talk about how to get the illegals out of here, and when that is done, then talk about a worker program.
Martinez seems to be a big supporter of special interest groups. this stuff has to stop. these people complain that talk radio is running the country, yet its really special interest groups that are running the Congress. Martinez needs to be recalled or voted out in the next election. And who gave Congress the mandate of running the country? They are to be doing the will of the people. They don't run ****. All they have done over the last forty years is tax the hell out of us, make big business richer, destroy the middle class, let crime run rampant and send soldiers to other countries to die. Congress isn't worth crap nowadays

Well I agree with one thing he said.. it would be nice to see them act like 'responsible, elected officials.' Unfortunately his misguided efforts are a step in the opposite direction. How much more clear could it be that Americans are NOT for amnesty?

I think we need to voice our opinon to the house also just to make sure they fully understand that we did understand that bill and we did not like it.

All of the straw polls/votes in the House showed this would fail on even a bigger scale than the Senate Bill. He's collecting on his 15 minutes of shame. We'll have to slap Congress around again in 2009. No Pol will go near this issue that wants to be re-elected. It's yet another 3rd rail in politics.

We can't let our guard down for one moment. I must of emailed and faxed Martinez 50 times over the last few months. All I ever get from him is his lame newsletter. He is typical of those that only care about there own peeps.

It does not surprise me a bit, they have absolutely no regard for the will of the people. I have already seen where they plan to separate parts of the bill and try again, the first parts to be separated are those that may garnish more support such as the AG jobs and The Dream Act. I wish I could say I am surprised but I am not.

Well, they can ponder all they want...all it is doing is putting more societal pressure on the illegals. Think about it, more of the illegals are getting noticed and monitored and reported to law enforcement. The more the liberals keep trying to push this BS on real Americans, the more real Americans are becoming aware at just what really is at stake. Which in turn aggravates us, and converts more and more Americans to the right side of this debate. I'm in N. California, and I'm telling you, the awareness difference in this last amnesty push compared to the first attempt is HUGE. True American Whites, Blacks, Asians, Indians, and Mexicans, believe it or not, were totally against this amnesty farce, and it was very obvious. Way more so than the first attempt at passing this tragic bill. So all I can say is keep the pressure on, email all your true American friends and families, and make them aware that some clowns want to try to "revive" this crap again.and tell them to pass on the word people. An informed America is what is coming about all of this crap, and the more Americans that are informed, the more illegals are being made aware of in local communities such as your own.

I think that it makes sense for them to try to revive the bill. Sooner or later their going to have to deal with all the illegal immigrants and i think that the best way is to give them amnesty and make the nation as one progress greatly. I hope they do, so many other families like mine have a chance to be successful and progress.
Martinez needs to let go of his hatred towards America, he needs to cherrish the idea of being an American first. He is following a self distructive path that will lead to his own distruction.
What is truly sad, is that a man in his power has influance, and he is spreading his ill feeling and misguided veiws to other hispanics.

You can just forget it. The proposal got killed dead and buried yesterday. Doctor Frankenstein himself couldn't revive that bill if he tried.
