To answer Goldengal, what do you mean when you say "their attitude... blacks who behave get great jobs". Goldengal your comment sounds just like how you look, so I think it's best you keep quiet and delete your account from MyTend.
What your friend is experiencing just goes to show the stereotype that people, wheter white or black, tend to have of others in general. This might upset some persons but there are even black people who are prejudice against their own race. I don't think finding a job has anything to do with the color of your skin, but more about one's level of qualifications. I will not however negate the fact that sometimes no matter how bright, talented or how many degrees one may have, black people sometimes get jolted, as there are hard headed persons who still insist on being prejudice.
Nonetheless tell your friend to keep her head up and keep on searching, and if she needs to get qualified tell her to go to school ASAP.
I'm part black and I already have a job there. In fact, I had lots of offers and I know others who've had the same experience. Your friend is probably ignorant, rude, and illiterate. That makes it hard to get a job anywhere.
Don't say that unless you know for sure. What are their qualifications? what kind of jobs are their seeking? there's a lot you have to take into account before making any assumptions.
