When you do that do you bring everyone who is on the waiting list into the country as well. There are people who pay 10K plus to come here legally and just allowing illegal aliens to gain legal status immediately slaps them in the face.
It's not hard. Have them serve in the military, then upon honorable discharge, they're legal.
Fairness and respect, to put it simply. Lot's of other people are trying to get here by using the legal route.

I agree with you...we are a country of immigrants and sometimes I think we forget that. They are already here.
My mom, grandparents, great, great. we all born here but they came from Ireland and Germany a long time ago. On my dad's side I'm American Indian so I really am from here but the beautiful thing is that we are a melting pot and it shouldn't matter where you come from.

They are criminals and do not deserve to be legal here. They probably were criminals in their own countries and that is why they did not apply to do it legally here.

thats about as logical as saying lets give all convicted murders handguns and permits, at least that way they will have a permit and we will know what type of gun they have.
The point is that we should not reward illegal actions by granting people citizenship or any form of amnesty.

We don't want them 'legal', we want them deported back to their home countries and made to wait in line until it's their turn. I don't think it's right to award their illegal, sneaky, behavior with amnesty.
well, there already is a procedure in place to make someone a legal resident. these people have, however, tried to bypass that, therefore becoming illegal aliens.

it's not that easy, because they're too lazy to go in and pay the money and fill out the paper work to get the green card or at least the visa. and if they have a record then they're definitely not gonna do it because if they want to be legal then they have to come in and interview every month like they're on probation and they sure as hell don't want to do that. they don't want to pay taxes and if they're legal then the government can keep tabs on them. they're happy where they are making everyone else pay taxes to support them.
Now read this over slowly since you seem to have trouble understanding the obvious. These people broke the law by coming here illegally, if we legalize the l5 million here so far the next thing 50 million more will come and demand to be legalized and that would be the end of America.

So let’s break this down. “Miguel” illegally crossed the border into our country - knowingly breaking the law. Then “Miguel” lived outside of society and didn't pay taxes for however long he lived here - knowingly breaking the law. Now we're telling him that he should register and become a legal citizen, and he doesn’t trust the government (the government of the country that he was willing to become a criminal to emigrate to) and wants to continue to knowingly violate the law.
