Yeah, you're talking about the anchor babies. The media keeps trying to pretend we're separating families, but there is no law saying they can't bring their kids back to their home countries. We have laws for a reason and they are ignoring they. As a sovereign nation we should be able to decide how many guest workers/immigrants our economy can support. By ignoring our laws people are taken advantage of and lack proper protections and services. They should just do it legally, if we need them, we'll up the totals allowed in(by the way we currently exceed the entire world combined in legal immigrants). There are also states with legislators working on removing the 'born on US soil= citizen' clause.

About 12-13 years ago California Governor Pete Wilson proposed a proposition called 187. Now what this proposition would've done is it wouldve made all children born to illegal immigrants be stripped of their citizen status, it passed. It was regarded unconstitutional and repealed. But the reality is that most immigrants do have children here and if their intentions are to bring emotion to the issue of deportation is questionable. I think just let the good ones stay. I do admit there are some bad illegals for example a family who just cranks out babies and uses up Federal or State welfare, deport those people, but leave the hard working ones.
They're not aliens, they're human beings just like you and as such they deserve to be treated humanely. i have no idea what point you're trying to make about children . . .

Think of it this way:
If there was a family (legal citizens) who didn't work and wouldn't support themselves, but asked for money to have their kids fed, wouldn't you want to do it? The family is being irresponsable, but you wouldn't want the kids to suffer despite that.
It's that kind of thing.
