My passport has not yet arrived from when I applied 10 weeks. What other course of actions can I take?

I called the US passport agency and they stated that they would put a rush in for my passport because it was still in the application process. I asked what would happen if I called this week and it was still not in the mail. Well the lady said that I would have to make an appointment to see someone at one of their processing offices but there were no appoinments available. I leave in 9 days! I can't seem to get through to the csr for their 1877 number unless I call 500 times before they will even place me on hold! Is there any other contact that I can use to get my passport? Do you think that I could speak to my district rep? Help! I am soooooo stressed! I don't want to lose my money I spent for my trip!!

Call you congressman right now, you can search online to find the person.

I'm traveling in 6 days and still waiting 4 months for my renewal, even after it was expedited. The girl who is helping me said the 877 npic number is completely overloaded and useless. They are pushing it right now and she will call me by the end of the day. She said that no one has missed a trip yet and that they are fedex'ing these things overnight if needed.

It usually takes a while for them to proccess passports, ecpecially since it requires a passport to go to the Virgin Islands nowadays, so more and more people are applying for them. I don't think that there's anything that you can do to speed it along. I just got mine and it took about three months for it to get to me.
Wait a litttle longer. My wife just got one, but it took forever . . . I believe they're saying 4 to 6 months, so at 10 weeks you're only about half way there! Obvioulsy, though, you're not going anywhere in 9 days . . . at least not out of the U.S.!
I have heard soooooooo many people complain about the time it takes to get their passport. Definitely contact your rep. If you don't reach him/her right away, keep calling. The squeeky wheel gets the oil.
wow sounds like a nightmare. check this out ok go to the local office (use the link i provided) tell them you lost your passport or you accidently through it away or some story and you can get one in 7-10 day s or try a agency
Wow! 4 to 6 months to get a passport? I'm glad I got mine last year. Are renewals taking as long? anybody knows?
Call your congressman's office NOW... they have someone dedicated to work on this. believe me, it really helps... No use calling that 877 number...
Im leaving for my trip in 8 days and everyone in my group got our passports. Thanks to the senators office and the congressman. Im telling you they will help you. I called the passport everyday and they kept telling me the same thing "Its being processed" Call the congressman and senator RIGHT NOW! They are very helpful! Good Luck! Enjoy your trip!
