Can America use illegal immigrants as a resource which contributes positively to society?
If the undesireable immigrant populations of America's past can assimilate, can't our current undesireable immigrant population do the same?
And if they can, why not let them stay?

Illegal inmigrants contribute much good to this country,the majority of them come here to work for a living,sure there are bad apples among them but is not a great majority like many bigoted people here would like you to believe.
I definitely don't want the undesirables(gang members, rapists, etc). I don't care how well they speak English. Incidentally, are you aware that the legislation politicians are currently trying to revive allows gang members the amnesty(no other word for it) if they renounce their gang status in writing. Just like that.

I don't think the question is whether or not they can, it is why aren't they contributing positivley (taxes, hospitals, language, welfare and public assisitance, etc) They are the ones who chose to drain the system or as you say not positively contribute.
We asked for workers and we got people. No one was paying attention apparently.
Sure the immigrants can be used in a positive way, instead of paying for gas pay them to push your car it's cheaper than gas. Pay them in pesos so they will have to go back to Mexico to spend it!

Give them guns and let them serve in our armed forces for 4 years. Then, only then, can they become citizens.
