Why?
There are as many Mexicans in Washington as there are in any other part of the country, which is surprising considering how expensive it is to live in Northern Virginia, so a fence around it would probably make sense.
Seeing I hate Washington DC, I say we declare it a wildlife refuge where rare species like the Senator Robert Byrd Maximus roam freely and live for ages.

In retrospect, they just need to start enforcing the laws already in place, rather than making themselves busy by trying to create new ones.

An electrical fence around the border. 20 feet tall and 20 feet under ground. Lined with barbed wire !
I think if we closed our borders and sent all the politicians to Mexico, that just might save this country.They keep saying you can't close the border, give me all the money they have used to try and I could do it. I also heard we will be attacking Iran this summer. I figured if they just rounded up all those illegals and sent them to fight Bush's war, that would help.
We need a fence around both maybe if you put it that way .

Move the white house to Tijuana and then build a super fence..That would be getting two birds with a single stone.
I'd prefer a fence across the Florida border, because I'm tired of people coming here and telling me how much better it is where they come from.
A fence around DC wouldn't work. The politicians all live outside DC, and it would be unlikely that you'd catch them at work when the fence went up.
A fence along the border is a better idea.
