I have an exchange student with a J2 visa. How long can she stay in the country after her visa expires?



Answer:
1. exchange student have J1 visa, she is a dependent of a J1 visa holder, so she is the spouse/relative of an exchange student, not one herself
2. she can't overstay. She has to leave the country or apply for another visa once her current visa expires.
