You may be to proud to ask for help but every city in the US has food banks or some form of food stamps for people who cant make ends meet. Visit any church they will tell you where you can get help if not help you themselves.

My dad is a 29yr Vet of the Army, and I can remember when it got close to the end of the month, when the army paid once a month, only getting a piece of toast or something like that to eat. AND He put his all into raising our family.

How many veterans that fought for this country go to bed hungry?How many senior citizens go without medical because our government thinks its more important to feed illegals? I have no idea what this has to do with immigration or the border patrol but as for people that say that nobody starves in the US, or that parents are lazy, or that if they can't support their kids they shouldn't have them.. people fall on hard times.. people get laid off, people have a hard time finding jobs, people can't afford health insurance, people get sick, there are so many reasons.. that have nothing to do with laziness- also as far as the government.. they are more concerned with helping the person that sits on the couch all day, then that family whose father just got laid off.. and unemployment doesn't pay a whole heck of alot... we need a welfare reform.. we shouldn't get rid of it because our government should help people that fall on hard times.. but we need to make sure that people who get it are the one's that need it and people that sit on their couch eating Doritos, watching movies are not getting it

A LOT. I used to be one of them, and let me tell you going hungry and living in homeless shelters is certainly not fun. I think the poverty problem in America is high on the list of things that need to be resolved.
