Sounds good to me. I will definitely be watching the votes. You are right, what is this country coming to when our own leaders will not listen to us? We need to take action.
I plan to use my vote and as much influence that I have to do this.
It is time for everyone to start taking names now and start kicking A.. AT THE POLLS.
I would love to, except that there are SO MANY issues---I just can't single this one out as being the litmus test upon which I cast my vote.
On a related note, think about this: People in favor of opening the borders like to point out that no one else wants to pick tomatoes (for example) cheaply enough. Okay---but if we make it legal for them to be here, do you think they will settle for slave wages anymore? No! They will demand higher wages because they have little to fear anymore.
I don't know what the answer is, but I know that this issue scares me.
I pledge allegiance to country of the Uniteed States of America. One country with a strong border and a strong national defense. Where illegal immigration is taken seriously and deportation is a rule of law.
Go ahead... they're suppose to be "working of us" anyway. Americans can take the government and they're suppose to be standing for us, and serving in our best interest and lately they havent and I'm am (nicely put) very very upset about it. I am really tired of them and this bill has just put me over the edge. Like others have said... why cant they just chill out and enforce the laws we already have? Apparently its to hard for them. This bill is pointless and I've came to the conclusion that its for money. Everything mentioned on that bill is already a law so to me its just a waste of paper. They're going to get money out of this and Bush will probably use it for the war because hes already asked for millions of dollars and I dont think he got all he wanted, so hes probably thinking oh this is a great way to get millions. Oh! I'm so mad! Please people... do everything you can! Call, email, write... whatever. We need to let them know how we feel!

I grew up saying the pledge of allegiance to my country when I went to school. Have your children been taught the same patronage to their country? Is the pledge to the Flag allowed in their school? Unless we unite together and defend our country from corrupt politicians, we won't have a country to defend.
We are currently at a High National threat level and yet we have Senators whose most important mission is to provide amnesty instead of securing our borders and ridding our country of hidden terrorists.
I will vote for the politician who votes against the amnesty bill. I will vote for the politician who loves America and what our forefathers fought for - freedom. Our freedom was not free. I will vote for the politician who supports our Constitutional rights to bear arms to defend ourselves.
