Marrying a Non-Us Citizen not wanting to live in US?

My fiancé is Italian & we want to marry in the US. (At the town hall) We however, do not want to live in America or for that matter, get citizenship here. We're going to remain in Italy. I've searched the internet and everything seems to apply to the foreigner living in America. What paperwork do we need to marry in the US if he DOESN'T want to become a citizen or get a visa?

Answer:
This will be easy. Since he is Italian, your fiance won't even need a visa to go to the US to marry you, as long as he doesn't intend to stay there. Marriage is regulated by the states, so you and he simply need to comply with the usual rules for marriage wherever it will be performed. If you want to get married in a church, on the beach, or in your Mom's living room, you can do that. Congratulations.
So far as I know marriage doesn't guarantee citizenship. He would still have to apply for it.

Just like you will have to apply for Italian citizenship.
I think you are more confused than what you think, your fiancee doesn't want to live or become a US citizen,he wants to live in Italy,so what in the world is the purpose of a US marriage license?
I understand your question. I'm assuming you are a US citizen.

My friend, from my country of origin, married a US citizen. The wedding took place in the US. She entered the country on a tourist visa. Of course, your fiancé being Italian won't need it if he's not staying here longer than three months.

All my friend needed was her birth certificate (probably translated into English, I don't know that part), her passport to prove her identity, and they got a normal marriage license like anybody else.

After they got married they both went to live in her (my) country where they still are.

They needed to register their marriage in her country so it was legal there also. So, maybe you'll have to do the same in Italy.

You have no problem whatsoever, except that... if you're a US citizen, you can't become a dual citizen. If you want to become an Italian citizen, you'll have to renounce your American citizenship.
.
You can get married in Las Vegas with basic ID. Some states have 'waiting periods' or require blood tests. Pick your state then call the secretary of state's office for the requirements.
