Oh.. a lot I see.. and these isolated incidences you dug up are 100% responsible? The increase in divorces, school drop out rates, teenage pregnancies and other things like that don't contribute at all? Interesting.
Nose dive.
good for her. did u see the woman snarling like a mad dog?
First you start out with an assuption, therefore you are not only posing a question, but offering an opinion and limiting the answers. Second I don't think it has declined. Since the year you mentioned the US had become the only superpower on earth and it has seen unforseen wealth. If you measure the decline or inprovement of a nation on what happens to its flags then the measure would be insonsitant. Is the flag what makes america, america. Is there anything, but a legalistic incident, that is ever truly american, i mean after all the colors red, white and blue are also used by the French and the Dutch.
EVER SINCE CAREER MINDED AMERICANS WERE "FORCED" TO BECOME drug ADDICTS AND PASTED THE TOURCH TO FOOLS!
It is time to remove the cockroaches from here once and for all.
America has declined quite significantly since the bicentennial. I was 13 years old in 1976 and I remember the country being rather free and unconcerned with most issues, even though we were still dealing with the aftermath of Vietnam and the Cold War. Still, then I felt that I had much freedom.

Fast forward to 2007 -- the Patriot Act is in full force, people are more concerned with safety than Liberty, the Constitution has been all but thrown out, and things are not anything like they used to be. If you had told me in 1976 that America was going to be the way it is now, I probably wouldn't have believed you. Now, however, I find myself pining for those (relatively) simpler days.
