Question for people opposed to undocumented workers?
Answer:
I'm telling you right now that some people on this are blind and raciest. They don't grip about the citizens in this ungodly country.
These people break the law yes. BUT how many people in our very government break the law? We pay higher taxes just to put it in their pockets. That's life. But no one is bitching about it. They are bitching about people in this country that are making a better life for themselves and their family's. Come on people!
When has an illegal immigrant ever done anything to you financially. Its just something for people to grip at and they don't even really know what they are gripping about...Its sad. There are bigger problems in this country besides the immigration. This country is built on immigration any way. I could go on and on about this.Since when are these people not human? Who or What makes us better?
Your point?
OK.first off...I am LEGALLY in this country...I am a citizen...
When I break the laws...the laws are enforced and I am forced to deal with the consequences of my actions.
Why should foreigners expect preferential treatment...and better yet...why should we give it to them?
EDIT TO ADD---
Here is a list of laws that I break.
Sometimes I speed (yeah, the 10 miles per hour that I go over on the expressway are really driving down the wages of the American people)
and sometimes I..well you know come to think about it.that's about it.
I have never illegally entered a country
I have never used someone else's social security number
I have never used false identification (not even to get into a club underage)
I have never illegally entered a country for the soul purpose of having a child so that their taxpayers will have to support me and that child for 18 years
I have never worked under the table to get around paying taxes or obtaining employment that wasn't mine to have.
I have never murdered anyone then fled to my home country.
I have never brought drugs into the US by going through an underground tunnel.
I could go on and on.
But, regarding my speeding...I HAVE gotten a ticket before...and I paid it.
OK OK OK---you got me...yes my 10 mph is equivalent to what those that are illegally in this country are doing.
It's all clear to me now.
Maybe I, as a legal citizen, should start doing as those that are in this country illegally are doing.see where I wind up...
Oh yeah---that's right---I am a citizen...I am expected to follow the law. Should I use a fake ID...steal someone's social...I would be in jail.
Where's my amnesty.
Why have a law if it is expected that it will not be enforced. Why have a country if it doesn't matter who chooses to invade it ? why have undocumented workers when you can hire people that are willing to work legally ?
Not the law like this. This kind of thing affects a large group of people..it's not only the law they breaks.
Your point is irrelevant. Other people have murdered people...does that mean I should be able to?
There are many issues, and you are trying to defend the indefensible with idiocy, so I will not go into it.
Throw in the fact that when you break the law, you expect punishment when caught, and never benefits for breaking that law. Does that sound fair to you?
Okay, let's cut off all benefits in the form of free education, welfare of any kind, etc.
Lets punish those who break the law...employers, say $25,000 for first offense, and $250,000 and 5 years in prison for the second. For the criminal (illegal) aliens, let's deport them the first time, and cane then deport them the second.
In a personal way I agree since I am the daughter of individuals that came to this country illegally about 20 years ago, however the issue cannot go unsolved for the sake of the nation- even though the nation seems to be jeopardy already.
I do agree that some citizens, legal individuals break the law all the time, however some do not see what they do point out what what others do.
For those saying that illegals don't pay taxes, you are very ignorant, because there's many ways in which they do! For example on items that they purchase and some even get some sort of ID tax # to be able to do their taxes!!! Not only are they helping the economy in such way but also contributing to the physical growth and diversity of this nation.
Yes, we should allow all illegals to get a pass on breaking our laws, because each and everyone of us broke the law by speeding or jay waking at one time or another, yes we are really are on a race to the bottom when the future of this country is decided with people who think like you and yours
Persons that enter this country without permission are illigal aliens not undocumentes workers.
You are just like the other girl on here who says its ok for illegal immigrants to commit crimes because they are just trying to help their families!
Bullocks! In what country is that EVER allowed!
And what country has never regulated who can and cant enters!
No, I haven't...I never even stole a piece of gum or any such thing as a child. Second, have you had to deal with the immigration system? I have...my husband immigrated here legally (as hard as that is for some to comprehend - people DO immigrate legally) and we did all we needed to do to make sure everything was right. It was important to us, first - to do it any other way would be illegal, second - we weren't willing to risk his not being allowed here or allowed to return. I have an idea for all the people who want us to "get over it"...how about following the law and encouraging others to do the same? What we are asking for is not anything that isn't expected in any other country...get over it, follow the laws or leave. It is that simple.
So, by your 'reasoning' if I break the law and don't report it that somehow makes it okay for 12-million others to do the same thing. God, talk about twisted logic...
This is about the worst question I've seen in a long time. I figured I'd open it up to see if it's for real.Yep, it is!!
Why don't all of us on this forum see this immigration issue for what it is? It's not a law issue. The closest parallel to this issue is Prohibition. The problem with the whole law thing is that just because something is illegal doesn't address the demand for the illegal activity. They made drinking and possessing alcohol illegal. The problem with that was that the demand for the substance was greater than people's willingness to follow the law. This issue is about US citizens demand for CHEAP LABOR. Everybody talks about obeying the law. It makes me sick. Man we need to overhaul our educational system so people can learn to think for themselves and see through the fog. I think we're all a bunch of idiots. Just get people to obey the law. That's almose like saying get people to say no to drugs. Don't you think that's hilarious.
IT'S NOT A LAW ISSUE PEOPLE. IT'S ABOUT YOUR OWN US CITIZENS SELLING AMERICA AND OUR WAY OF LIFE OUT FOR THEIR OWN PROFIT AND GAIN. AND LAST I CHECK OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT OVERALL DOESN'T DO A GREAT JOB OF ENFORCING THE LAWS OF THIS NATION. WE IMPRISION MORE PEOPLE THAN ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD APPROXIMATELY 2,000,000 AND YET THERE'S STILL DRUGS, GANGS, ETC. GOING ON. WE SAY ENFORCE THE CURRENT LAWS. MAYBE WE OUT TO ASK IF IT'S POSSIBLE TO ENFORCE THE LAWS? MAYBE WE SHOULD BE MORE CREATIVE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?
THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS. THESE LAWS HAVE BEEN ON THE BOOKS FOR A LONG TIIME. THEY'RE NOT GOING TO GET ENFORCED ANYTIME SOON.
CAN ANYBODY COME UP WITH A CREATIVE SOLUTION, INSTEAD OF SAME OLD TIRED ONES.
So your telling us, its ok to break some laws. And that you can pick, what laws you wish to obey, and what laws its ok to break. So in your way of thinking, one could go to Wal-Mart, pick up a few things, walk out without paying for them, and think of it like, well I don't like shoplifting laws anyway.
Yeah sure, noboby is perfect , but have you actually seen what these people do to a nieghborhood?
The way they live. They turn places into the third world. They don't respect any of our laws. They don't even have what we would consider to be common decency or manners.
Our jails are overcrowded with these people, because of all the crime they commit.
Just go into an area where they have taken over and you will see litter and trash all over the place. They loiter and drink in public, urinate in public. The list goes on and on.
They bring gangs and drugs. They destroy nighborhoods, play thier music too loud. They drive cars with shiny plastic wheels.
They don't speak English. They live with several families in one house and park junk cars all over the front lawns.
hmm I've broken the law and i pay for it. speeding tickets. I've payed for all of them.
i got pulled over for speeding 10 miles over the speed limit on the freeway and i got a ticket for that and a ticket for an expired license (was an out of state license and was expired for a month) guess what i payed for that and i got an in-state license and payed for that license too. ( lived in a military family so was constantly moving)
illegal immigrants do not pay for breaking the law.
so what is your point. because if that's it, it was a really stupid one.
nope buddy i dont because i learned my lesson lol. and when i did that i was a teenager. i am now a mom and my childs safety comes first.
SO WRONG AGAIN.
I can smell a pathetic attention seeker,
Let me ask you a similar question:
Is it ok for someone to rape your sister or wife because every straight man on this planet has fantasies of having sex with women whom they are not supposed to have sex with?
***i'm impressed by how mature you are to the posters.. giving a thumbs down to everyone that doesn't agree with you.* that reminds me of kindergarten behavior. by the way... i break the law, and the law wins.. i fight authority and authority wins.
*= sarcasm*
What's your question?
Illegal immigrants/invaders must be deported.
So your answer is no laws at all? No.not every person is caught everyday who drives 3.5 mph over the speed limit. But when they are caught they pay the consequences and aren't crying the blues about it or marching in the streets over it.
Is your belief to give lawbreaking the best shot and it's ok as long as you don't get caught and cry "racism" when you do? All or nothing? Sounds like Mexico to me and every other third world gang rule h-hole. Whoever the meanest and most evil and underhanded and secret and vile wins?
Or are you the type who only appreciates the "law" when it's convienent for you? Laws are made to be broken and used to sue? Only for your protection but not for others? Rights are just for certain people as long it doesn't crimp your style or keep you from getting what you want? It's a 2 edged sword that gone to either EXTREEM is a problem. That's why the scale is the symbol of justice. It's a BALANCE. Perfection does not exist but it's no excuse not to strive for it. Life doesn't have to be "how low can you go", "dog eat dog" either.
I haven't heard anyone suggest a door to door military search for each and every illegal or INS at your door ready to haul you away 5 seconds after midnight when your visa expires. But if you've stolen peoples identies, commit murder, sell drugs, rape women and children etc. You've gone beyond 3.5 mph over the speed limit and deserve to be shipped out and put in jail. Just coz you "got away" with one crime doesn't ENTITLE you to break all the rest of the laws.
LoveMiPI..then I guess you'll be happy to cover the expense I have for a roof job and unfinished siding job that a group of illegals got paid for and decided to go back to Mexico instead of finishing the job they were paid for. Thats me and 137 other homes in this area. I guess you're going to cover the items they stole and the car they wrecked and my medical expenses, for driving without a license and disappearing. And I'm sure when you open a business you'll give me job because I can't do what I used to do as a result of the accident anymore and I have no means to legally fight back because they went back over the border. Where's MY rights being protected here? Where's my financial compensation? No.I'm left holding the bag.
Saying it is OK for them to break the laws of this country because at some point I might have is one of the dumbest things I have heard.
Question for people opposed to undocumented workers?
Since all of you claim its a law issue...if you have never broken the law yourself you may agree or disagree with my opinion which is...get over it. <<<
whats the question?
I have never commited a felony. Being in the US illegally is a felony. I have friends who have committed minor felonies for possession of marijuana and their lives are basically ruined. While that is their fault, they did not get amnesty for their crimes and neither should illegal immigrants.
