I agree, the answer is to close off the borders. Why do we spend so much money for airports, when people can just walk over the border. I feel the only item the politicians are interested in is money and votes. I would not doubt that there are many undocumented ( means Illegal ) who are voting. To hell with our country, we must save the vote. ( from your elected official). Actually that is how they think. I feel the only positive way to solve the problem with Mexico, is put a building on the Mexican side of the border for the State Dept to vet the people who want to come here to work. Then give them temporary visa's. I am sure that our leaders had made a deal with Mexico not to interfere with the people going across the border. Mexico needs the money! We need immigrants but legally. I know many of my friends feel the same way.

When they vote, and if it passes, you bet I'll print out a list of who voted which way, and I'll make sure I don't ever vote for any of them (that grant any sort of amnesty) for anything again.
This latest amnesty debacle is a huge slap in the face to those who work hard to enter this country LEGALLY! What incentives are there now to do things the correct way when we are REWARDING law breakers???
All I can say is we reap what we sow and I am hoping those who voted for this policy will reap the unemployment line next election!
Think of it this way if you vote for amnest then they will become legal and have to pay taxes and they wont be taking from us what we have earned or payed into for free right. Illegal immigration will never stop from mexico if people are coming here illegally from across seas and not being stop then illegal immigrant from mexico will never be completely stopped thats just reality.

My vote will be on this single issue. Other issues are important, but without a stop to illegal aliens crossing our borders, those issues won't matter so much. As for the argument that by making them legal, they will suddenly be paying taxes, bear in mind that an awful lot of them will actually get Earned Income Tax Credits, which means they pay NOTHING in federal taxes and will actually get checks in the form of a refundable credit from the government simply for filing a return. FREE MONEY in essence...
