Why Do People Drop the "Illegal" in "Illegal Immigrant" When They Want to Argue Against Borders?
Since when is America the only country that doesn't get to control who's inside it?
Answer:
Interesting amount of hate above.
Our political leaders want to understand who is in the country and where they are coming from. This will be improved if many current resident aliens become legal. Immigration policy changes are mostly to stem terrorism. Somehow a significant number of people have latched onto this political topic as a primarily economic issue which it used to be, but now from a federal perspective, it is mostly a security issue.
Underskilled citizens have always complained about letting too many foreigners in to compete in the work force and voting booth, but the real solution to their problem is improving skills to enhance employability.
Since the Global marxist revolution by the once great Democrat party.
Hear, hear.
They drop it because they want to pretend it is about something other than our being victims of theft.
they drop the illegal because they are trying to justify being illegal. the country's leaders we have now is destroying this country and they don't give a flying fallopian tube about it.
Well, it happened in Europe, opened the borders..They still have an immigration problem from people outside of Europe. Many countries like Spain and Italy have reformed their immigration laws to adjust to the new influx of immigrants. Many get control by instituting some kindof amnesty, while securing the borders. They want to know who is living and working in their countries, and the only way to do this is with amnesty.
People will normally drop "illegal" because they are biased in their opinion.
Most of us (or our ancentors) immigrated to the US, legally.
Immigration is good.
Illegal immigration is a crime.
If our country was serious about illegal immigrants, the US ICE department should spend their time raiding likely places of employment for these illegals, then fine the employer a huge amount. Presto, he would no longer hire illegals, word would get out not to hire illegals, they wouldn't come without being able to find work, and problem is solved. Too many people right now are happy with the way it is, hence no meaningful change. We are spinning our wheels and spending huge amounts of tax dollars. Employers get cheap labor and our governments get tax dollars from their labors (maybe).
