Contact your nearest police station and ask them if they had recieved your passport verification form. It seems the police verification was not done so you will have to fill a personal verification form at the passport office and then they would do the police verification again. In any case please do not apply again for the passport its illegal. Rest dont worry it wud be done again just contact your passport office.
