Can i apply for naturalization with a conditional green card in the military?
Answer:
Check the site below. The third memo down is a fact sheet on military naturalization.
As far as being a conditional resident, yes, you can file for naturalization even if the condition has not yet been removed. This holds true not only in military naturalizations, but in other situations as well. As long as you meet the residency and other requirements (if any), for the provision under which you are applying, you can apply.
Good luck
explain all that to your recruiter and he will take care of it.serving in the armed forces honorably will get you citizenship!! Do It!!
Nope. You have to hold a greencard for 5 years. Make sure you send off the forms to have your conditional status removed atleast 90 days before your two years is up.
I wish I had a conditional green card while in the military. I was lawfully admitted to the US from the Philippines pursuant to military orders to serve in the US Navy. Retired from the service Chapter 61 and stayed in the US undocumented because filipino lawful entry pursuant to military orders does not contitute even as conditional legal residence for naturalization.
you need a green card to join the military. it does not matter if you have had the green card for a week or 5 years. if you have been issued the card then you are eligible.
